This review is for the sushi - I ordered the inside out roll (which was supposed to be spicy tuna and spicy Mayo) and the spicy salmon roll, and nothing was even a tiny bit spicy or flavorful. What even more strange is that it didn’t have any taste. It didn’t taste bad, but it tasted like nothing. You can’t taste any salt or vinegar in the rice, the raw fish didn’t even have a taste. I mixed the entire serving size of wasabi with one small soy sauce packed and even the wasabi mixture wasn’t spicy. Its weird. The place is clean and modern, and the people are nice, but I’m so shocked how bland it was. The only thing that had flavor was the ginger on the side

Looks like the roll prices have increased to 8.95 from a flat $8. I had a mid-work day sushi craving (when do I not?) that I knew Musashi Newsroom could help me quash. I got the InsideOut and Extravaganza. Rolls were big and so was the fish inside and fresh ingredients. The Extravaganza was meh, reminded me of a Kimbap, but the inside out was pretty bomb, I'd get that again. Server chef girl was friendly and I hope they can be consistent with rolls like she makes 'em cuz I see other yelpers post pics from here where the rolls look like all the rice.

Amazing sushi place in Ballard that I love to go all the time. The chef there is so sweet, makes art out of the sushi! My favorite rolls are musashi roll, perfect amount of rice, veggies, and fish. It’s my go to sushi spot whenever I crave for sushi and they never disappoint! The seating can be little tricky as it’s for smaller groups. But I haven’t had huge issues when I visited with friends. Parking is street parking but I’m able to find one every time I visit :)

This space went from an awesome Equal Exchange coffee shop to an unrefined counter-food place. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review for a business, especially a small business, but I felt inclined to share my perspective after today.

They are using the same exact espresso machine and coffee as before but somehow cannot make a good drink. Today was my third time coming here since the business switched ownership—it’s the closest “coffee shop” to my place of work. The milk was way over steamed, making it taste burnt and not drinkable. The service was also terrible, the lady working didn’t even look up at me from her phone until I said hello and was not friendly at all.

This place is not a good coffee shop, I won’t be returning again. I’ve tried the sushi once and was also not impressed at all. It’s cheap so I’m sure that appeals to some, but I question their method of not having a sushi case and simply putting their ingredients on ice on the...

May have some connection to Musashis with chirashi bowls, but not sure. That being said, I wish this place offered chirashi bowls because those are amazing. It's a place for rolls and drinks. Yohan gave great recommendations to us, shout-out to him!

Anyway, the rolls here are fairly large. Lots of rice and presented relatively well. They have nigiri too! It's not shown on the wall menu but there are smaller menus near the cash register that are more up to date.

I can't comment too much on the drinks, but they have a fair variety. All of the rolls are similar with small nuances about what's included or what's excluded. I doubt you can go wrong with any of them. Four stars for being above average but not exceptionally "wow"ing. Would be back if i'm in the area. Chirashis like at Musashis would be...
