Red Bowls is a Japanese and Korean lunch spot in downtown Seattle right on 3rd. Around noon the line gets super long but they are so efficient here and able to crank out meals quickly. Read the menu ahead of time because as you walk in, they'll yell to you to see what you want and make it as you make your way up to pay. Around the time you get to pay, they'll hand you your food - it's incredible. Portion sizes are honestly massive and the taste is great, so it justifies the price even though it's not that expensive to begin with. Staff are friendly here so don't hesitate to ask them questions. If you can get here before noon or after 1pm, you'll have a better chance on not sitting in the line for 5 minutes (not bad at all). Easily one of the better bowl places in the city.

Grabbed lunch here today. It is a super quick counter service restaurant in a small space with a few places to sit. Looks like most people take their lunch to go. I ordered #19 Spicy (Central - tuna and crab). There was quite a line out the door and wrapped around the restaurant but the line moved really fast. It did not take long to get my bowl and leave. Total time in line and waiting for my food was 10 maybe 15 minutes. It is a pretty hefty amount of food for $10! Loved the spicy marinade the tuna was in, and the spicy sauce on the veggies (broccoli, carrots, zucchini) tasted like the spicy sauce you'd get for bibimbap. Pretty tasty bowl and could only finish a third of it. Ate the rest for dinner! Definitely plan to go back!

We ordered the 'Red Salmon Bowl' and the 'Bulgogi Bowl.' The bulgogi was a bit on the sweet side, and the meat itself was slightly dry. I was craving something spicy, so I went for the Red Salmon Bowl. The sauce tasted like Korean chogochujang sauce, which wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but the food was still enjoyable overall. It seemed like the owner might be Korean, as the dishes felt like a fusion of Korean, Japanese, and Western styles. I appreciated how generous they were with the meat and fish portions, without overloading the bowl with unnecessary rice. They also included plenty of vegetables, which made the meal feel well-balanced and absolutely worth the price.

Fastest service in downtown Seattle I've ever seen. I've been here several times and they usually have a long line but it moves really quick. If there is no one there, you can expect to order and get your food in a minute or less; it's absolutely insane. I've never seen such fast service, let alone in downtown Seattle.

Not only is the service fast, but the food is really good too. I've tried the fresh fish, udon, tempura, and katsu. They were all good and they were all served in the signature red bowl. The only thing I don't like is the ratio of some the bowls. For example, the fresh fish bowls include vegetables and rice, but I would much prefer rice over the vegetables so I feel...
