If you are doing a to-go order, check your order before you leave. They have a weirdly complicated ā€œnoā€ specifications for ordering online and don’t follow order specifics. I’m here on business and heard good things, so I got the Magic Mushroom burger. I love mushroom and was really excited. On the checkout page they what you don’t want on it, and it listed some crazy things that the Magic Mushroom didn’t have. To be safe, I selected no of on the craziest stuff (like pineapple and pico de gallo). Well I just finished walking back to my hotel from the place and pulled out the burger and is completely plain except for cheese. No mushroom, onion, and all the other goodness. I paid $21.00 for a patty and cheese in between 2 pieces of bread (attached photo is after I already put packaged ketchup on it to give it something). It’s a far enough walk that I can’t go back again to get it corrected. Disappointed and wish I double checked the order before I left. Update: I want to follow up that it ended up being a fantastic burger even with nothing on it, so that says something! Upping to 3 stars because it was good even if it wasn’t what I ordered

was here for happy hour - and ended up getting the mini mozz bowl and loaded fries we had no idea what the mini mozz bowl was going to be - it ended up being a few mozzarella sticks with fries and cheese. the actual mozzarella sticks were decent; with a crispy exterior and a good enough cheese pull, but the fries were actively bad the loaded fries were very unappetizing. i don't know who thought beans was a good idea, but it was not. i did not like this at all at $7 each for these appetizers, it's also overpriced. there aren't a ton of good bars in this area, but would stilladvise against going here. 3/10

First time going to this bar was for a friend’s birthday. I’m not sure what I was expecting but I wish I had known about this bar sooner!! Walked into a large bar / Tavern. Lots of seating, large bar center of the room with a DJ in the corner (Saturday Night). Tons of people dancing and having a great time. The bar is festive, unique with quirky decorations like a boxing bag in the ladies room. *SERVICE: First off let me tell you how entertaining, outgoing and personable the male bartender was this night. I wish I knew his name so I could give him a shout out. At the end of the night when things started to slow down he was really getting into the music, shaking the drinks and dancing all at the same time. He was having a good time with the remaining customers at the end of the night and let me tell you he was go go go all night long and still had this burst of energy about him when it was closing time. ON THE OTHER HAND…. (NEED MORE THAN 2 BARTENDERS ON A SATURDAY NIGHT IN SEATTLE) On a Saturday night they only had 2 bartenders making all of the drinks. I would say they needed at least 4 to keep up with the flow of business. Waiting at the bar for over 20 minutes for basic drinks is crazy slow. I’m not over exaggerating, there were sooooo many people waiting for drinks. Especially when the drinks are in short glasses, you sip through that in no time and end up being at the bar again for 20 more minutes. At this rate you are spending more time waiting on getting a drink than enjoying yourself with your friends. The bar is losing a lot of money by being under staffed. Not the two bartenders fault at all, they were doing their best to try to keep up. *PARKING: Parking on a Saturday night was a breeze! Street parking was free that night after 6pm. *Tons of rainbow flags mixed among the decorations in this bar. I got the feeling that this is a safe space for...

Went to Sam's Tavern twice in the last two weeks to watch a Leafs (hockey) game.

The first time we went there, we were charged more for our drinks than what is stated in the menu (and its an online menu, mind you, so why is not up to date?!) and I was overcharged overall, tip wise (what I had tipped did not match bank statement).

First time issues like this I give a pass to, but the next time we went, a week after, same exact story! Menu was still not updated so drink prices were still wrong. Worse still, they interrupted the Leaf's game (on the TV) towards the end of the second period to put on some pay per view boxing match on. I wouldn't normally be so mad, but they literally put the same match on all the TVs in the entire bar, even on the TVs that are side by side each other. They wouldn't even change a single one back to the hockey game when I asked (I didn't even care about audio). Why the same content has to be on ALL the TVs is beyond me. Wanting to watch the third period, I then tried to get the bill, pay, and head home ASAP. I waited over 10 min to be helped that instead I got up and walked right to the server at the machine to make to force her to close us out. And then again, boom, what do I see on my receipt? "Automatic 20% gratuity", which is supposed to ordinarily be for parties of 6. I was a party of 2 so I asked why it's there and was told "It's a party weekend, so its auto added". This was never shared up front anywhere, so IMO illegal, and I was very angry at this point in time as what was I even tipping for when the bar is forcing me to leave mid way through a playoff hockey game, not to mention wasting my time to close out our bill, for no actual logical reason?

Thanks for making it an easy decision for me to...

This restaurant bar is nice. On a nice day the patio is a nice place to grab a seat. The have comfy couches, picnic tables and tall bar tables and stools. Inside was nice too. For the price the food was good. My husband had the Tavern Chili Burger and I had the Magic Mushroom Burger. They don't look really big, but what they lack in width, they were thick and topped with yummy sauteed mushrooms and cheese. As for the service, it wasn't the best. Our waitress came over not long after we got there and since we had to download the menu , we hadn't had a chance to really look at it. It took her another 20 minutes to come back and take our order. Not sure what took her so long since there weren't very many people there. After answering some questions(which she seemed annoyed to do so), she took our order. When she took my husband's order, he tried to tell her that he didn't want any onions on his meal, but she was in to much of rush that she didn't hear him and his good was brought with a bunch of chopped raw onions on it. She wasn't even the one to bring out our food. She never came by to see if everything was ok or see if there was anything else we wanted. We were just a little more then half way through eating when she finally came back to see if we wanted our check. We told her that was fine and she was back in a flash with it and not even 5 min later she was back to see if we were ready to pay. We were still eating. We were a annoyed by this and we felt very rushed. The food was good but not sure if I...
