Shout out to manager Crystal for handling a very rude, very misogynistic customer. The customer was furious that cream is an additional $4.50, for two coffees it would total to $9. His tensions raised and when the woman cashier kept telling him that's the price, he insisted on talking to the male barista behind her, who had nothing to do with the order. Manager Crystal came to the window, told him the price, and requested that after this transaction to no longer come back because he has been harassing the employees, all the while the customer was talking to me trying to get me to agree with him (I didn't, the employees have to follow prices set by corporate). Tensions raised, his wife comes over and insists she's part of corporate, and assuming I was still involved in this conversation (since he was talking to me about 15 seconds ago, I assumed I was still part of this discussion) I told hee to contact corporate then and not harass employees. More words were exchanged, the rude customers called me and my partner a slur and the employees were again left shaken by this interaction with this man, who was mad over... Cream. That he can get at Safeway for $2. Shout out to this team, this location has kept me caffeinated for 2 years while I have lived and worked in the Ballard neighborhood, and I have never had a negative experience. Food service employees work very hard and take a lot of guff. Be nice, tip them well, and thank them for their hard work. Thank you Crystal and the rest...
Read moreUpdated review: I now come here before work in the mornings pretty early, so the line isnt an issue but the quality of the drinks made here is beyond subpar. The drinks are ALWAYS made different. I've asked why they are different and was told they shouldn't be different than any other Starbucks and yet they are. The coldbrews never have the foam on top unless you specifically ask I was told, when you don't have to ask anywhere else. They forget to put ice in it frequently. The literal only reason I come to this location is because it's on the way to work but I'm probably going to have to go out of my way, to avoid this location from now on. It's not worth it. Even the pastry is stale which boggles my mind because they're all prepackaged anyways. Boo! If the staff was nicer I'd probably give 2 stars but its usually the same crew and they seem like they can't be bothered.
The line here is always redonculous. I'd recommend going off peak hours or to the walk up which isnt so bad, but the drive through is always backed up like 10 cars when I've gone. But staff is friendly and...
Read moreThis place is a nice drive through store, and the staff are generally pleasant, but my issue is if a drink isn’t great - because it’s a drive through - by the time you’ve checked your drink you’re probably already on the road and it’s not convenient (or very easy) to circle back and go through the drive through again for a remake. I called customer service for a refund and received the run around and they flat out refused to give me a refund after initially saying they would - they’ve clearly changed being customer service oriented and standing behind the drinks. The drinks are sometimes inconsistent (at any Starbucks store), and they’re expensive. It’s just not worth buying Starbucks anymore if this is their new stance. The phone reps took up so much of my time so they could send store feedback, but simply wouldn’t refund me for my beverage - they used to be much better about refunds for bad drinks. With all the options in the area, and local shops, I’m going elsewhere. Nothing against this store, just...
