Great Wok — Restaurant in Secaucus

I wish I read these reviews before we started going here. If I could give them a zero I would. Food initially was good for a while, but recently has tasted and smelled bad twice. We initially liked them and tried to give them another chance, but the quality has gone down tremendously. Maybe new ownership but I’m not sure based on other reviews here. Sounds like they have had quality issues all along. They also are very expensive and skip out on giving you any meat in your dish which is minimal. It was supposed to be chicken but maybe not. 🤷‍♀️. Yesterday it smelled and tasted rotten and was actually grey. Other times they have forgotten rice and refused to deliver it in a timely manner even though that was part of the meal and paid for. We contacted them about reimbursement and were denied by a man named Ming. He was very nasty and argumentative. Very bad customer service. $30 wasted. We were told “we shouldn’t eat it or taste it if we want our money back”. How else would we know it was bad? 🤦‍♀️ How ignorant. Therefore, that means they would re-serve it to someone else which is illegal and unsanitary after another person opened it and breathed on it. 🤢 Maybe the health department needs a phone call. I called 911 AND the Secaucus police on this restaurant and the Secaucus police showed up as did an ambulance from Union City because there was a homeless man coughing blood and vomiting into his hands and onto his clothes just two tables away from us, with a dirty blanket over his shoulders and garbage bags under his table, like he had tuberculosis or like he was dying. It was an emergency for his health and it was also a public health hazard to the patrons. My wife and I were seated two tables away. We told the owner and his wife that there is a man who is dying and that he is vomiting blood. "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. HE IS ALWAYS SITTING IN HERE" THEY TOLD US RUDELY!!! Needless to say we could not eat our soup or our fried rice after that because it was absolutely disgusting and nauseating. WE ASKED FOR THEM TO PACK OUR FOOD UP AND WE LEFT AND CALLED 911 FOR THE MAN'S SAFETY AND HEALTH AND FOR THE HYGIENE OF THE RESTAURANT. we met two Secaucus police outside in the parking lot and the police proceeded to remove the man from the restaurant and into the ambulance. I am horrified that the owners of this restaurant thought that that was okay to have a homeless man in a blanket coughing blood and vomiting in a restaurant with customers...

Stopped by here yesterday - unplanned we just stopped in on our way home and received abysmal treatment from the counter guy. Before we even walked up to the counter he wanted our order, while looking at menu he was rushing us. Then when we finally do order our wait was over 20 minutes! Then when we get up to pay - again the rushing, fowl treatment, wanting to over-charge us just to meet store policy of $15 min. on card when our order was 13.90! (Since when is being upcharged just to meet store policy without buying additional items OK?) We ordered a soda to meet the min. and still the fowl treatment, huffing and puffing, and yelling in front of other waiting customers. It was appalling! We'll never buy from this place again nor recommend to anyone. Absolute "wrong" guy selected to take orders and handle treatment...
