Chicos Pizza and Restaurant — Restaurant in Secaucus

I am new in the area and yesterday my son asks me for pizza late in the evening, I google pizza near me and this was the closes place and so I drive to this place and they had just closed, I am at their door waving and talking, (I say you closed early it’s 8:56pm it says you close at 9pm) the manager says we close 10mins early to clean up, but a lady comes to hear me out, I say can I buy one slice of pizza for my son please. I am standing outside and the lady is holding the door. They all look and think….one staff had a box tucked away I think he was taking it home with him or it was just for every staff to pick a slice and go home with. But he says let’s help her with this one, and the manager says ok do you have cash to pay? And I was coming from swimming all I had was my son, car key and my phone. I am like I got Apple Pay. He says no, only cash. I am like omg what will I do. No cash at all They all think and say “give the boy this last box for free” so the lady hands me a box with 4 slices of very good yummy freshly baked pizza for free. She says for your son, enjoy! I couldn’t believe my eyes! I say really? Yes? And she said yes yes and all of them said yes!! I was touched, I said thank you all so much! Thank you momma! I told them I will come back and buy pizza with all my pizza lovers and I will come with cash too. (I think they use Apple Pay but because they had closed all the system) that’s why they wanted cash. But this place I recommend! The pizza was great! Fresh annd yummy but the kindness that these guys had!!!! Blew my mind! May God richly bless all of them and their hard work! Thanks again! This place is a true hidden gem. They are not well known or busy enough so you can custom order your pizza. Not the way you like it the first time??Make a special custom request for the second order. The crust was perfectly crisp yet chewy, the sauce was rich and well-balanced, and the toppings were super fresh. You can tell they take pride in detail and looking to grow their business.. not just a cookie cutter chain. Also, they are generous and tend to donate left over slices locally. It’s the kind of local treasure you almost want to keep secret, but they deserve all the business...
