Housekeeping Thieves
I checked in a week ago, they claim to have a AAA Rate which is really a $2 discount if that. My initial stay was good, shower is hot and individual climate control are great.
I extended my stay for an additional three days, on the second to the last day I was here, I returned to my supposedly cleaned room to find my doppler case with all of my medications and vitamins on the floor along with garbage that was never removed.
I went to take my klonopin for anxiety and to help me sleep, the pills and bottle were stolen from my room. I unpacked all of my luggage and nothing; I searched the floor and drawers of the room and still nothing.
The next day, I went directly to the front office, I spoke to the Manager of the establishment who told me he would speak to the housekeeper and ask her if she took them, I responded, "Do you really think that she is going to admit to stealing a controlled substance and face being fired or better yet, arrested?"
I just left a meeting with the manager and we both searched the room together, nothing to be found. He claims I had the same housekeeper every day but I've been here over five days and unless I am wrong, no one works 7 days a week, so he totally lied about that. What else will he lie about? Maybe it's part of the operation to go through a guest's belongings and then sell those pills for extra money.
Do yourself a favor, if you staying more than one night, keep your pills with you and your valuables. As for the no fault attitude of the management, you have the ability to make things right or attempt to accommodate your guests as well as insurance to cover such incidents, that's required by law. If someone got injured on your property due to the ice coated areas, how far would your no fault policy take you?
You have a responsibility to ensure that your guests are free from harm and theft, that's not only ethical but a hospitality standard. You Sir have failed...
Read moreThis is an extremely fair price, Motel. I read a review on here that said the doors wouldn't lock. Come on, there were 2 locks on my door, a dead bolt, and a regular door handle lock! They both worked fine! So this is a motel that happens to be in a pretty good area. There is a lot of shopping in the area. There is a go cart place like right across the street. When I pulled up there was a guy who greeted me, gave me my room key and I believe we chatted for a quick minute ( it was 12am by the time I arrived) he explained how I could get to my room which was on the second floor right above the check in desk. The heater worked fine. The floors are, I would say, brand new or definitely super clean. The room has a strong smell of cleaning detergent. It's not my favorite flavor, but at least you know the place is clean. Definitely wasn't any smoking in the rooms. Checking out, the lady at the desk was very chill and nice as well. Overall, it is a Motel, not the 8trillion star hotel. The price was great. I would stay there again. Probably bring an oil defuser to make the cleaning smell a bit less. Again, at least I know I was in a clean place. The reason I like to do reviews is because there are people sadly who don't get their way and come on here and start scaring good hard working people away from saving money and staying at a very decent location. Plus I get over 10 million views on my reviews, so they are stated the correct way with as much detail as I can give. I will take photos next time I stay, I just had a lot going on...
Read moreWhen we checked in, my immediate impression was "small", but it turned out that the size of the room was perfectly adequate. Someone had left windows open and they were left open when it rained, so the top of the dresser had a pretty good puddle of water on it. This may have had some bearing on the tv not working when we checked in, saying "no signal", and the box that fed it was hidden behind the dresser and required the removal of drawers to access. They did get it fixed the next day, and it was on and playing when we returned to the room that evening. One other bit of oddness was a spot in the floor which would move (and move the nearby chair!) when you stepped on that spot on the floor. I can only assume that this was also the result of the window being left open and rain doing a number on the laminated flooring. The fridge and microwave were most convenient, and the availability of coffee when we wanted it was most excellent! It was also very convenient to be able to park right in front of the door to the room. When it got a little bit chilly the heater was adequate, but it took a while to get the room warmed up. The lamps on the night tables were a little odd- you turned on the top bulb with a typical switch, but the bottom bulb by touch! My lady was quite happy with how clean the room was, and with the shower. Our dealings with the people that worked there were all very positive. Given all of this, if we were in the area again I would have no problem...
