Yeah, can't believe it took me this long to review this place.... D'OH! Back in 2014 I found myself between careers and after farting around doing menial jobs for minimum wage I started looking for a school that would give me the best education for my money. As someone who is "good with his hands" that left me with two choices that were relatively local, MTTI and New England Tech (NEIT). Having decided upon the Marine Technology course I did my research and found that while NEIT offered a comprehensive course primarily focused on engines, as opposed to MTTI which had a much broader scope regarding the marine industry. NEIT's tuition was exorbitant at the time (more'n a brand new luxury car!) and I found that MTTI's tuition was a great deal less expensive. Put it this way: I could go to MTTI AND HAVE ENOUGH MONEY LEFT OVER TO BUY A NEW CAR! Granted, this was 6 years ago, but I doubt things have changed quite that much. I really enjoyed my time there. (Surprise, Surprise!) As someone who despised school when he was younger, I discovered that, as an adult with a wealth of experience, school was actually FUN! AND YES, I learned things! A lot of things, actually. Far too many to list here. Everyone at the school was helpful and eager to offer assistance, and will continue to do so even after you graduate! All of the instructors have a vast reservoir of knowledge and experience to draw upon and impart to both current and former students. The school offers a variety of courses and visitors are always welcome. Personally, I'd check their website for COVID19 restrictions/requirements before stopping in, but otherwise the main campus is directly across from the Best Buy Plaza on Rte.6, Fall River Avenue in Seekonk,...
Read moreI did the evening automotive program here and it was a great learning experience. I really liked how flexible it was. I was able to work full-time so I could pay my bills still and complete the program at the same time without any issues. The program is also very affordable especially when compared to the alternatives. I like that they only really teach you whats necessary and relevant to work in the industry. Some of the other programs I looked into around here required you to take classes and learn things that are completely irrelevant to being a service technician. The highlight of the program was the amazing teachers, staff, and students. The two evening instructors Jameson and Tony were honestly amazing. They were both very smart and knowledgeable about fixing cars obviously but also with the whole automotive industry as a whole. They've both worked in the industry for a long time and always made sure to try and pass on all of their valuable experience and knowledge. They always managed to make class fun and enjoyable. I always looked forward to coming to school and was honestly a little sad when my time was up. My classmates were all awesome too. Everyone was friendly and we all helped each other out and got along great. When I started the program I didnt know a lot about working on cars and was hesitant to do a lot of things but now after having completed it there isn't anything I feel like I can't fix. This is a very practical program and if your goal is to work in the industry and you're not sure where to start this is the perfect place. You'll learn everything you need to know fairly quickly, affordably, and then they'll help you find the perfect job for you. I couldn't recommend this...
Read more1st I would like to say that MTTI IS THE GREATEST!! I Graduated in 2017 as a American College of sports medicine trainer. The staff is beyond helpful and kind, the financial aid office went above and beyond to help me cover my finances with scholarships and grants. With out them I wouldnt of been able to take the course. The instructors are kind and helpful and is willing to go out of their way to make sure that you understand the material needed to succeed. I'm personally one that learns better through Hands-On training and this school was definitely that! I came to this school to be able to gain the education and knowledge needed to be a successful PERSONAL TRAINER. As a personal trainer I need to learn how the anatomy of the Body Works, how to do certain assessments, but most importantly learnimg the safety of all exercises to make sure my client(s) are exercising in a correct and safe matter. Through repetition and practice I'm working in the field as if I've done this for years! Im glad I came to MTTI and gained the skills and knowledge needed to pass my ACSM certification. What I like is they even helped me find my job that im still at and love! I wake up and I actually enjoy going to work doing what I love. So would I recommend the school to anybody? Of course! 110%...
