My wife and I went on two separate occasions, each time with subpar quality food. The first time we ordered an appetizer, I ordered a burger, and my wife ordered wings; the appetizer took over twenty minutes to arrive, with our entrees arriving shortly after.
My burger didn't taste too far from what could have been thawed and cooked in a skillet at home, and my wife's side dish was in meager portion. Our drinks - sweet tea - both were very watered down, or barely brewed, and our replacements were... slightly better. My drink of cherry cola tasted sweeter than usual, but I wasn't too put off by that at the moment.
Our second time included our children, and we all ordered the same drink. The cherry cola seemed extremely sweet, and the waitress commented that there was an issue with Mr. Pibb's syrup addition as well. My order that I can't remember its name, a sort of chimichanga filled with a protein and baked beans, sounded good in practice, but wasn't very satisfying with a conflicting profile of sweet BBQ and slightly spicy cheese sauce. My wife's order of wings was absent of a side dish, though considering the portion of wings the missing dish was forgiven. I didn't sample my childrens' food... however upon leaving, everyone seemed to have an upset stomach, even while limiting how much we ate and having plenty of leftovers. We suspect the drinks being neglected in care.
The only positive thing to say was that the servers we had were all polite and attentive. Our second server was very chatty as well, a delight that helped us get past the quality of our meal. I know the food wasn't her fault, and she was doing her best to be a...
Read moreSo, great food. Nice people. But when you order a 20+ dollar rib meal and you look at sauces, you can’t get there full selection unless you pay almost a dollar a small condiment cup. You can’t get all the sweet and spicy and Carolina gold. But, if you want there other 7 or 8 sauces. Ugh it’s gonna be about a dollar per small, little bitty condiment cup. That real cheap in my book. I’m sorry, but it takes one small hospitality thing in my book to make a place great. And charging for “certain sauces” is ridiculous. I won’t be back back on account of that. Way to be cheap skates. Wow! Blown away. Also, upon receiving my order. My ribs dinner was BARELY warm!!!! The Cole slaw was extremely warm, “YUCK” Who enjoys hot Cole slaw! And coincidentally, my green beans we not even Luke’s warm! I will NEVER visit this rip off BBQ place again. And believe me, I’m humble and take everything into account, hours worked, what day it is, and so on. This was pathetic and nothing short of it. They will not be in business much longer, with food and service and charges like this! I would rather go to MARKS FEED STORE ALL DAY! No up charge for sauces. Sides always fresh and prepared correctly. I’ll make the extra 7 min drive for a...
Read moreOur party (two couples and a 5th) ordered two family samplers and one pulled pork meal. Menu says the sampler will feed four and likely would as we brought alot of food home. I think the sampler was like $54 each. The food was very good. Everyone agreed the ribs were the best. They are served dry or without sauce. Nice bark . Fall off the bone tender and juicy with a heavy smoke flavor. They have a variety of sauces to try. The pulled pork came in second then the brisket. The pulled chicken came in last. It is very good its just the pork is so good thats the order we would rank it all. For the sides, the crinkle cut French fries where excellent and we had them unseasoned. The Cole slaw was delicious but cut a little too big. The baked beans tasted and appeared like vancamp. The onion rings are crispy and great texture but lack flavor. So i recommend the fries over the onion rings. Also comes with toasted and buttered texas toast. As for beverages they serve Pepsi products but i had ice tea. Service was perfect. Attentive and thoughtful staff. We will definitely come back and will likely order the sampler again and maybe try different sides but i guarantee i will get...
