Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Selma

On July 30th my Mom & I decided to try The Habit for the first time & I was very upset when I got home to finally eat my meal & see what all the hype was about. I asked for Ciabatta bread on my Golden Fried Chicken sandwich (which was even listed by the cashier on the order screen so she definitely heard me) & it was just a regular bun bread. There is supposed to be a sauce on the sandwich which there was none that I saw or tasted so it was dry just had the fixings of tomato & lettuce. They didn't put the Aioli sauce on the Garlic Fries it was on the side as a dipping sauce. I wanted Tropical tea & it tasted like Raspberry tea not tropical like you expect maybe Mango or Pineapple taste nope not tropical. So I did not have a good first time experience with The Habit. The only good thing I did enjoy the taste of was the Garlic fries if you love garlic like I do then eat these fries they are VERY GARLICKY (so if you've got a first time date or interview do NOT eat these fries you will definitely ward people away even Dracula), but I loved 'em especially with the dipping sauce. The fried Chicken was good, but on the marquee they show it dripping with sauce & that's what I expected it smothered & dripping with sauce & there was none. So disappointing! Will ONLY go back for the GARLIC FRIES nothing else! I didn't even want to give The Habit a star rating at all, but since I loved them fries then I chose to give at...

I realize covid & the lack of Americans willing to work bc they'd rather sit back & take a free ride from our government on all the stimulus money causing a skyrocket to inflation but compared to a year ago..... The price of the burger went up $1.50, the large drink 30¢, the fries 40¢ &the onion rings 50¢ & the quantity of the party& addl items/condiments (pineapple, teriyaki, cheese, etc) has been reduced in quantity& the tropical tea watered down. My husband got the $9.09 steak sandwich& while the picture looks amazing... When received in bag it had less than half the meat in the picture however the taste was very very good (restaurant (now) quality) for a fast food sandwich. The onion rings& fries the same basically. While I understand their dilemma with product costs rising& the inability to get needed items from stores & the inability to find staff plus the increase in minimum wage however.... $30 later for 2 meals at a fast food restaurant idk that it's worth it bc my husband ate the steak sandwich, fries, onion rings except a couple rings & few fries& slammed his large drink & was still hungry& he's not a big, big guy! Too bad for those hard working consumers having to fit the bill & get substandard service & product for their hard earned money! God bless Americans willing to work hard through it all...

So glad that Selma finally has this great eatery! I love the Golden Fried Chicken sandwich andxthe amazingly big and plump Onion Rings when I want chicken, and the Grilled Chicken is equally delicious! I love the Ahi Tuna burger when I want Ahi... I mean where else can you get a big piece of Ahi Tuna steak on a soft golden delicious bun?! Let me tell you... do you like hamburgers? This place has Super Scrumptious Hamburgers of different kinds and they are all mouthwatering big and juicy Yummm!! My husband loves the burgers here!!! The fries are big and really good too, both the sweet potatoes fries and the regular fries... I love their Garlic sauce! Ask for some for your sandwich - it's great on the fries! I just put The Habit Burger & Grill App on my phone recently and ordered through it and my order was ready when we arrived! Perfect every time! And it's just off of Hwy 99 at the Floral exit - turn in the driveway where the Starbucks is and it will be on your right. They have a Drive-Thru at this location too which is awesome. For all you Truckers on the road, there is plenty of room to park your trucks nextdoor in the Walmart...
