So overall I have always enjoyed me and eds. We recently had a tough experience, but i decided to give a better rating because the manager ( or maybe assistant manager ) did a lot to help and resolve the problem
Food is good like normal and everything, my one piece of feedback is that perhaps partnerships with schools be honored in a cleaner way in anticipation of food restrictions
My son was given a free personal pizza certificate from his school for perfect attendance, they specifically gave him a me and Ed's one knowing he has celiac disease and could get the gluten free crust from here.
When I went in i let them know that we had the free personal pizza coupon, but I know the gluten free pizza is small only and more costly so I was willing to pay the difference so my son could still redeem a free pizza. Unfortunately at the register I was told I would have to pay full price (16.00 ) and my son would not be able to use it. It was super busy, and I understand that the cashier was newer and employees were swamped. I ended up paying for the pizza cause my son was pretty upset and I didn't want to hold up the line.
While sitting and waiting i did get a chance to talk to a manager ( or assistant manager ) and they kindly refunded it for us. I still would have happily paid the difference but I appreciated it a lot, my son as well as he was happy to earn the reward and doesn't get a chance to eat at many places due to his diagnosis.
Maybe if there are going to be certain partnerships with schools to offer things like this, a process can be easily outlined for how to handle especially when it comes to unavoidable food restrictions. I know some things are out of control if certain food options aren't available, but since the crust was available i feel it should have been an option to pay the difference at the very least or better yet still get the pizza for...
Read moreI rarely like placing reviews when I dont have anything good to say. It has to be a bad experience to want to come and waste my time. I didn't even want my receipt just in case it had that leave a comment or concern about your visit. Let's start with me placing my order online for lunch which was easy, came in and asked a worker if it was ready she stated it was and stated that John the cashier will help me while he was busy taking someone's order (I got John's name at the end of my visit when I decided I should make a review) well she didn't bother bring it down or preparing it, she just looked at the receipt and walked outside, like in a hurry. The cashier gave me my order, and plates, pretty much everything, then charged me because I decided to purchase some drinks which I failed to do online. He had very good customer service etiquette. So I thought I was just being difficult. While I noticed my wings had no sauce probably my fault I decided to go ask at the counter. I noticed the cashier had a long line of customers, this was around 12:30pm lunch rush, I noticed no one else was in the kitchen, one guy was busy vaping and talking outside with the worker who was no help to me, but he was tall enough to see me standing at the counter thru the door window and seeing how his coworker was struggling but didn't bother to stop talking or vaping. John helped me get the sauce for wings, but by the time I sat down my pizza was cold. I hope this message gets to management because customers shouldn't struggle to get help or get their orders late because the employers are busy hanging out. I get it they can talk and hang out but not by ignoring customers and their coworkers. Praise to John who was polite and handled taking care of the pizza parlor on his own, I would have walked out leaving them...
Read moreHorrible service from the manager Sadie. Ordered for dine in and was given a # for the table. It was a busy day, so grace on the wait time was given. After an hour I went up and asked what the status of the order was. The manager Sadie came up to me with a confrontational attitude. Stating that, I had told the staff that the order was to go instead of dinning in which was absolutely false due to me having the table #. She stated that they were calling the order # on the receipt to no luck, but I was given a table # cause it was for dine in. She called me a liar, and gave me the option of “ taking my cold pizza that has been laying around or wait longer.” * She raised her voice at me stating that she would not issue a refund After going back and forward a nice man who was picking up an order chimed in, and suggested the manager to issue a refund because it was the right thing to do. This was a whole fiasco on the restaurants end. I frequent the Coney island, Sanger, and Hanford location and have never been treated like this. I suggest y’all stay away from this location and take a drive to Sanger or Reedley. Me-n-Eds needs to make this right, a refund is not enough for the waste of time, and embarrassment. The one positive thing about this visit was the worker Ralph who was looking out for us. Sadie is a sad excuse of a manager and a worse person with one of the worse attitudes I have ever encountered....
