honestly i really wanted to love this place. pros: -very cute, kitschy, detailed star wars decor inside, great theming -ordering/pick up experience were easy and pretty seamless -the workers i spoke to were friendly
cons: -put fried chicken in my bowl, i ordered grilled & verbally confirmed; yet i found bits of clearly fried chicken throughout. i understand mistakes happen but iâm allergic to gluten and a restaurant that markets itself as a healthy alternative should take extra care to keep its patrons healthy. -the food just wasnât very good. for their prices, i would expect higher quality ingredients. obviously i stopped eating the chicken, but the bites i did have were chewy and woody. i tried eating around the chicken but honestly this dish made tropical smoothieâs dishes look like ruthâs chris. itâs possible i didnât have enough sauce or there was some other QA failure, but my husband also found his dish inedible.
hopefully it was just a bad time for this restaurant, or they improve their training or something. itâs a shame for such a cool little space to deliver such an underwhelming experience.
*edit: if that wasnât fried breaded bits on the chicken i am way more alarmed đŹ it was gross and did not resemble any listed ingredient in my bowl, nor was it overly cooked chicken. i attempted to be charitable while describing my experience honestly, but if this is the level of professionalism with which you approach managing your kitchen, i will continue to steer clear. have a...
Read more"Our mission at Fit Stop eatery is to provide our customers with the cleanest ingredients, while keeping each person's nutritional needs in mind" , but they couldn't sell me an extra bowl of rice. Nor cater to my children's macronutrients.
I'm sorry but the owners response was incredibly dismissive and condescending today as he failed to address my concerns as a parent when I wanted to order another bowl with rice so I may portion one of the entrees among my two children. Instead I was rudely interrupted as he quickly dismissed and reinsured me his establishment is not a McDonald's, a Wendy's or a fast food chain. I was just asking for a solution for my family's macronutrients and they said " Our bowls are already cheap enough". Which doesn't excuse their lack of empathy and understanding towards my situation. They really made it known that they will not make an effort to accommodate anyone's special request as they feel they will get taken advantage of. I just thought they'd remember that they're serving people and to recognize that not everyone has the same needs or preferences. Especially not accounting for parents wanting to portion to avoid overeating and food waste. Which is a perfectly acceptable reason to split an entree if there is no other option on the menu. My kids weigh 50 to 75 lb. And you unreasonably ruined my experience and my children's when I told them I was ordering extra rice per their request and mine this time. I'm sorry, but I am honestly questioning even...
Read moreI wasnât going to write a review but seeing as their ex employee nickâs review was taken down I think itâs justified now. Look, the place isnât the most horrible thing in the world but if youâre looking for cool small business owners youâre at the wrong place. The food is alright and itâs probably the only thing on the menu with genuine macros. All of the shakes are claimed to be made with 1st phorm protein when indeed itâs not. The açaĂ bowls are great but once again the macros and even the ingredients arenât correct. The açaĂ is just a big pack of blueberries from Samâs club no different than what you use at home. So with all of this being said thereâs also the occasional smell of spray paint, occasional arguing of the two owners (husband and wife) and if they just have a negative opinion of you when you walk in the door donât expect to be greeted with kindness. As for all of the employees everyone theyâve hired/ have hired has been amazing and are great with customer service but just know if the owners are âworkingâ with them a portion of your tip to the employees is going to them. Was a great job with some great people but I cannot say the same for the owners of this establishment. Just go get your food/shake and donât try to build a relationship unless you want to be belittled at some point of the so called friendship. Google reviews can be...
