One of my favorite Parks so far to take children to. It is right next to Home Depot, right next to lake Seminole, right off of Park boulevard. It's pretty easy to get to pretty easy to find. One of the largest playgrounds I've seen so far. Lots of stuff there for kids to be entertained with. Lots for them to do. Slides everywhere, swings everywhere, a giant jungle gym shaped like a treehouse type thing and another one shaped like a pirate ship. They have small stuff for the little ones and bigger stuff for the bigger ones. The restrooms are very big and extremely clean and well kept. There's a small DOC for canoes and kayaks. There's also a boardwalk that overlooks the water. There are three large pavilions. Good place to have a family get together, barbecue, birthday parties, etc. There are hidden games in all of the jungle gyms like the treasure hunt. I can't really say enough about this place if you've got kids and you want to take them out to have fun this is a place to go for hours and hours of entertainment. Large fields to run around in. Lots of parking. The city is Seminole did a really good job...
Read moreAwesome park for children and families to enjoy at a great location and also on the water. The actual playground is large and has plenty of space for kids and parents to walk around in. They have the thick foam flooring. No mulch thank goodness. There is not much shade in playground so keep eye on weather and time to of day. There are separate areas for all ages with multiple sized slides and amenities. There is a set of swings with babies/toddlers on one side of playground and the regular swings for everyone else. There is also plenty of seating for parents to sit at while kids play. We went around 3:30pm and there wasn't that many people which was nice. Right around 6pm it did start to get a little over crowded. There are public restrooms for both men & women that are actually usable and not filthy. We walked around before we left and were pleased to see a sidewalk that led right to the water with large deck area. We also found water entrance for kayaks and even a place to wash off kayaks. It's super cool. The park also has plenty of trash cans all around. Let's hope we can keep this park clean for...
Read moreFun new equipment. Nearby restrooms. A couple of shelters. Kayak launch. Not enough shade on the playground, but they did plant more trees and add a couple more sun shades since we first visited. So they're trying to improve it. Overall, my kids have enjoyed this new park and have asked to go back several times.
The playground is big, is NOT fenced, and is close to the parking. It can be a challenge to keep your eyes on multiple kids. If your kids would have trouble staying out of the parking lot, this may not be the right choice.
Update: they have added more shade and planted more trees, but I think it'll still be hot in the summer sun. My kids still enjoy it, but we are selective...
