Knowledgeable friendly staff. Excellent food. The sounds of birds on the speakers overhead are so subtle. It might take a few moments to notice. Lovely open interior with wooden like floors. Plenty of light. The owner is from Indonesia, and there is quite a lovely selection of Japanese and some Indonesian items we particularly love the edamame but told them a little light on the salt We are so lucky to have this restaurant in Sequim . The owner, Izzy (pronounced Easy) started his first restaurant in Port Angeles, which has a similar name and continues to grow strong. It’s our new favorite place in town. Portions are generous, and the quality is fresh Great service today from Lal and Remy 🫶🙏✨

Wow, that Japanese restaurant is so delicious. The Miso Soup had a perfect flavor of salt and garlic. The Gyoza which is the dumplings was so good, sushi as well. I had the Hibachi Salmon with fried rice and veggies. Perfectly mouthwatering good with yum yum sauce. I would come back here again. Compliments to the chef.😁👍

Top 3 sushi I have ever had (and I’ve been to Japan)! Great and friendly service. Got the Love Boat for 2, which would definitely have been plenty for 3. The ones in my party that didn’t get sushi (ie lobster hibachi) loved theirs as well. Highly recommend and will now be my go to every time I visit :)

Well, that was a disappointment. We waited 25 minutes for a table, okay that's fine, it's busy. Got our waters and such, then nothing. Okay, that's fine, it's busy. Then... nothing? My party was chatting and being patient, but we realized it had been well over 25 minutes and never even had our order taken yet or checked in on once. I had to stand up to go flag someone down who went to find our server, but then that person came back and took our order instead of our server coming.

We never got our onion soups we ordered, but the sushi rolls came out pretty quickly, so that's a plus. By this point we were quite hungry so ate our sushi, but only 1 out of 4 rolls would be something we would order again (if you do come here, get the spider roll! It is really good).

One person in our party wanted dessert, but of course we still have not seen our original server the whole time, so we didn't bother waiting for dessert to happen. I again had to go flag someone down and ask for the check. Only then did I realize that by this point, the restaurant was maybe half cleared out, so why then, were we still forgotten about in the back? It ended up being faster to simply go to the register to pay, at which point I had to make sure to ask for the onion soups to be removed from the check since they never came.

Side note as well, the paint on the walls looked shoddy (check by where the table would rub the wall) and the lighting was really dim. I suppose the side room area may be much better in the daytime, but alas, it is now fall and dark by dinner time. I don't really trust a restaurant that is too dark - what else can't I see? I guess I'm wondering why a bit of a touch up and maybe a few more lights to turn on all winter wasn't done before...

Whenever I try a new place, I get the default sushi deluxe assortment. Let's see what they will throw at me by default. Miso soup was very good. I've had terrible dishwater miso and I'm always willing to try again because this one makes it worth it. I always also try a couple special rolls. Spider crab roll was awesome. Spicy tuna was very good. I will continue trying new ones. Standard sushi was excellent, with the perfect large amount of good textured fish combined with a reasonably small amount of sculptured rice. Wasabi was tasty and creamy. Choice of soy sauces. Really, this place is good. I always bring a cold ice bag to immediately ice over leftovers (I split the meal when it arrives) and it actually traveled well, which is rare. I'll be picking up from here in the future. The rice texture on the next day was excellent. It feels expensive to start off with but it makes for multiple meals for me. This is a...
