Hardee’s — Restaurant in Sevierville

While dining inside, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service from the staff at this fast food restaurant.

A very friendly gentleman took our order. He was personable, with a sense of humor that made me laugh out loud.

I ordered coffee and he asked if I wanted creamer? I said yes. He asked how many did I want? I said four please and then held up four fingers to confirm (it was loud inside). He looked at me, as serious as could be and says, okay, so you want 44? Well, Sir, that's a lot of creamer for one cup of coffee, but I'll get it for ya... you wait right there! I laughed so hard the entire restaurant looked at me funny.

Later this same fella walked the crowded restaurant, table to table, to briefly enquire as to how each table was doing, before returning to his work station. It's something you just don't see in the fast food industry. A nice touch in my opinion.

Another employee was actively sanitizing tables and cleaning up the floor as soon as people got up to leave. She too was also interacting with the customers, engaged in back and forth banter with some (what appeared to be some elder local folks). The restaurant was very clean for as busy as it was.

Oh, yes I almost forgot. Our food order was correct and our the food quality was good... and hot, too!

And, I just want to mention something else I noticed as we were visiting the area from Michigan... Throughout our travels down and back ... everywhere we stopped along the way, there was a common theme... HIRING signs on almost every establishment from restaurants, gas stations, hotels, grocery stores, retail stores, etc... Lots of work available out there it seems. And this place was no exception. They had signs out too, and, it looks like it would be a fun place to work! The employees we encountered were making the best of it for sure!

We went there to get breakfast we didn't go inside, we order our food we pull up to the window we pay first they gave the wrong size drink and that was fine the lady gave us what we ordered and then second they gave us the wrong food so the lady came back to the window we told her that this isn't what we ordered she had another lady come over and this woman was so rude she was suppose to be a supervisor or something in that nature well she started telling us that we didn't have to be like that and all we was trying to say was they gave us the wrong food she obviously wasn't understanding what we was saying so we ask what her name was she refused to tell us so then asked to speak to manager over her he comes over we go to explain to him what was wrong and she happens to speak over us at this point I said I just want my money back you can have the food back then she started talking again to us so her boss had to make her walk away just so he could speak to us. We are locals and will never go back to that one after that mess we will go to the pigeon forge or the other one in sevierville for now on. Food is always old at this location. I hit the drive through, verified my order was correct on the screen and pulled around to the window. The window server was polite but asked me to pull forward. I had to wait about a minute, not bad but they brought my order out and I was finally on my way. I got back to the resort and handed out everyone's food and realized that my sandwich was missing. I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant and go through this entire process once again. I received an apology but the damage was already done. My family was finished with their meal as everyone was waiting for me to eat. I wasted an extra 1/2 hour of my day fuel for the extra trip and created a delay to our daily plans. The bottom line. The team at this restaurant has the same screen available to them that I had when I confirmed my order. Please pay attention and do your job to the best of your ability. Always double check...
