I was hugely disappointed. But also starving. Gone are the day's where a pizza place actually serves you. In thier defense....it was a hour (HOUR) before closing time. Sunday nite at 9. The kids and i drove from Indiana to Tennessee (Wilders at the smokeys) The excitement of the water park when we arrived at 5 p.m. the kids wasn't thinking about food. About 830, now thier getting hungry. All the restaurant in the hotel closed at 9. As we did some research we noticed most restaurants close at 10 in the small town. So we hurry, and are in route like a bunch of wild starving bears. On the strip in a somewhat empire parking lot we see a pizza hut-slim pickins but hopefully they will have the famous buffet, we can all eat quickly and be out of thier way. Its me, 2 19 year olds and a 10 year old. We got this. Walk in, you place your order at the desk. ?? No waitress? Ok, no biggie. Asked about the buffet, says its "Closed until we get staffed" ugh, bummer. Ok, let's try to make it simple. 1 large stuffed crust pizza. And bread sticks. 4 drinks. "We only have 20oz drinks available " Me: "? No fountains drinks?" (No refills?) Worker "No, we're not staffed" ??? Ok. Um, i guess ill get my drink from the car, and 1 drink. The older kids said they will wait to get something. (On vacation?) The one 19 year old order his own food, alfredo pasta (came w breadsticks) We wait...with our 1 drink from the car and a 20 oz pop. Waited...waited. we finally heard the 19 year old name called (bcuz his separate order) there it was nicely in a to go box. ? Looking around the other 2 customer groups had boxes of everything on thier table as well. The garbage can was overflowing with pieces boxes??? Ah, no staff means no dishwasher.. Our food had been up thier but we had never heard my name called. He grabs all our items. Brings to the table and we go at it. We are hungry, and trying to be done so they can close at 10. The Alfredo pasta.....the cheese was slightly melted on top, looked great, but was frozen in the middle...the pizza, was mostly done-the bottom crust was not cooked completely. Brwadsticks? They were delicious. At this point it didn't quite matter. However....i myself wouldn't recommend. Was disappointed. But look at the positive, we didn't starve. However ive seen some kick-asz pizza come from a truck stopped before that looked better, cooked all the way and cheaper. Let's hope for better dine in experience in the future. Just...
Read moreThis is my free and unbiased opinion of Pizza Hut in Sevierville, TN. The moment I walked into this fine dining establishment I could sense I was about to have a 5 star dining experience. Heck, after I had left, I would have given it 6 stars if it was possible. The waiter wasted no time in finding us a seat (as packed out as it was). As I watched the waiter speak I could tell he was a solid drug-free human being, which is what we all want in a good waiter, is it not? I hate it when you go to a restaurant and you have to worry whether the employees are out back sniffin' coke during their break, you know what I mean? So anyway, he politely asked us what we all wanted to drink, being careful not to make any awkward distracting movements with his hands. Another plus. What really astounded me about this waiter was how elegantly he spoke. He talked with such clarity - I could clearly understand every word he was saying! After he left us, I looked around to admire the exquisite beauty of the place. The first thing that caught my attention was that there wasn't any mold on the ceiling. What more could I have asked for? My friend even got out his camera to take a picture of the ceiling so he could show it to all his friends and make them jealous. Next thing I saw was the televison. Wow. That TV was incredible, guys. I was so enamored by that TV I was actually thinking of stealing it when no one was looking and taking it back home with me! I think what really got me was how they were able to get the picture to be in perfect proportion to the size of the screen. I thought to myself, these people spare no expense in making my time here as pleasant as possible! Though there is so much more I could say about this place, I will simply say this: if you are reading this, you need to get over to Sevierville, TN and visit this glorious restaurant. Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, get over to Sevierville now! I don't care if you're at a funeral in New Zealand mourning the loss of your recently murdered brother, purchase a plane ticket and come to Sevierville! It'll be an experience you'll...
Read moreWe have stopped by this Pzza Hut almost every Friday for years. The last couple of months, however, thier poor customer service has undone all of the years of good service that this location has provided and has lost them our business. I called one time and was asked if it was carry out or for delivery. When I said "carry out" I was placed on hold without another word and was left on hold until I hung up. The last several times (4 or 5 times) that we have called, we have been placed directly on hold with no word spoken. INCREDIBLY rude phone manners and completely unacceptable for any business that intends to continue doing business. All of those times, I ignored my instincts to hang up immediately and tried to give them a few minutes but no one EVER answers the phone. Tonight, I stayed on hold for 10 minutes and no one ever picked up. Couple that with the incredibly obnoxious and ear-splitting chicken wing song that serves as thier hold music, and I am fed up. Also. This location never has a gluten free crust so I can never eat there. We have to go two separate places to get my food and my husband's, which I could get over for my husband, who loves thier pizza, but is an irritation none the less. This is very irritating because it wouldn't cost them a thing to keep a couple of gf crusts in thier freezer like other pizza places do. This is an old gripe but, since I am reviewing them, I wanted to lay that one out too. So now Papa Johns is our pizza place. They have a call center but the orders are always right and I can get my gf too. I hope somebody at Pizza Hut is reading the MANY reviews that say the same thing and make some changes soon. It is a shame that a company that has a product that is better than all of the competition is losing business because of poor...
