I want to say that normally I enjoy shopping at Aldi. I find the employees to be hard working, informed and quick on the check out. Also, Aldi's has, for the most part, kept their prices in check and I feel like I can get the most bang for my buck on certain items. I think we have all learned you cannot do your entire shop here because they don't always have all the non-cooking essentials. This past Sunday (09/28/25) was not a great visit. Generally, I have always found the Aldi's produce department to be hit or miss. Sometimes the produce is overly ripe and you need to use it right away, or it isn't ripe at all and then it never ripens properly. Bananas for me are an exception to that rule. I like them green/yellow because the sugar content is lower and they are a better source of energy when they aren't freckled. I am attaching pictures of what I had this morning. Additionally, my son had a green banana yesterday and it was impossible to peel. I am not sure what is happening but this was a massive disappointment. I bought several. I am going to see if I can bring them back. The other issue is that they were rearranging the store, on Sunday, when it's busy. And they have moved the produce section up to the front by the entrance. I truly don't mind change. Especially if it creates efficiency. BUT moving one of the more inefficiently moving departments (people like to take their time smelling, touching etc in produce) to the front of the store by the entrance is nuts to me. It makes it absolutely frustrating to enter the store right now. I do hope there are further plans to open that area up so it doesn't congest as badly as it did this past Sunday. The isles also are pushed more closely together, and in a world where many people think they are the only ones in a store shopping, it is hard to get around. It isn't efficient. Sadly, I will be returning to Kroger for the time being except for a couple of items (buttered chicken and Pain...
Read moreNormally, I really enjoy shopping at Aldi. The prices are great, the shopping experience is usually smooth, and I actually appreciate having fewer brands to choose from (though I know some see that as a con). It’s typically less crowded than other grocery stores, which is another huge plus for me.
However, my recent visit was very disappointing because of a negative interaction with a cashier. I was putting my items on the conveyor belt, and the cashier started quickly ringing them into a cart at the end — which is normal and fine — but I only had a few more items left. It wouldn’t have been a big deal for them to wait a few seconds.
For context, I had both of my young children (ages 3 and 2) in the cart, plus my diaper bag, and I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant. After I paid, I ended up needing two carts — one for my kids and diaper bag, and one for the groceries — which was a little inconvenient, but manageable.
Then the cashier stopped me and told me they needed one of the carts for the next customer, insisting I give it up right then and there. Instead of helping find another cart (or simply being a little patient earlier when ringing my items), I was forced to move all my groceries by myself while juggling two toddlers and a diaper bag. I still had to bag everything after that, too.
The complete lack of customer service and human awareness in this situation was honestly shocking. This experience left such a bad impression that I don’t plan on returning to this location. I expect more consideration, especially in a family-friendly town like...
Read moreSince you have no phone number to contact you and you have no email address and no website that you can contact American Aldi's stores locally or nationally I'm going to leave my feedback here! I wish I could give you a complete zero star, and the reason is I am tired of every time I go in there your prices are ringing wrong! You are overcharging for way too many items from the actual price signs that are on the shelf. I caught one item today and now I have found three other items on my receipt when I got home that you overcharged me from what was listed on your shelf price, so this is it and I will definitely let The Bureau of Weights and Measures know that you're overcharging!!! Groceries are high enough without you cheating us at the register! BUYERS BEWARE YOU BETTER BE WATCHING THAT REGISTER WHEN SHE'S RINGING YOU UP 90 MILES AN HOUR! IF THEY'RE CHEATING ME OUT OF FOUR ITEMS AND THEY DO THAT EVERY TIME I GUESS COMES UP THERE LOOK HOW MUCH EXTRA MONEY THEY'RE MAKING AND WE'RE NOT TALKING 10 CENT 20 CENT WE'RE TALKING DOLLARS AND UP TO 2 DOLLARS DIFFERENCES... BETTER DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS...
