Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Sevierville

3/29/21 First time being at this location. I do not live in the area we are here for spring break. We arrived and parked in one of the booths. We hit the button at 7:50pm. After about 7 minutes of waiting a woman said that they were short staffed and to go to the drive through. So we did. There were about 3 cars in front of us in the line. After watching all the cars leave behind us we should have left but stuck it out. We watched a guy come out to put the trash in the dumpster and complain about all of the cars he also "fake" coughed multiple times and cursed let us all know he "may" be sick. We waited in line a long while and almost left again, but the car in front of us moved and we pulled up to order and she told us it would be a few minute's. We waited. Ordered. She couldn't hear us and we struggled to order. She was polite. The car in front of us left before getting their order. So when we pulled up they were ready to give us their food, we told them they left. Paid. Waited. Also forgot to mention they were out of lots of menu items including bacon and onion rings. Anyways the man at the window was nice and apologized but it was still insane. We got our food. It took 50 minutes total from the time we pulled into the line to the time we got our food! The drinks tasted funny because I think the syrup must have been off (dr pepper and coke) and we were missing marinara for the cheese sticks and a large order of tots. The man gave us 4 little coupons when he gave us our food but it is only for the location which means we can't use them since we don't live in this area. We're do I start my husband and my father in law went to Sonic the other night and it was a very disappointing experience. We had a pretty big order. We ordered 4 double bacon cheeseburgers 2 with no sauce, 2 orders of jalopeno poppers, 2 orders of cheese sticks, my son had the cheeseburger with fries and my daughter had chicken strips and fries. We ordered route 66 cherry limeade, Route 66 Iced tea, blue raspberry nerd slushy, 2 other route 66 drinks. When my husband received the food they were about to pull out of the parking lot and looked down at my drink which was supposed to be a route 66 Iced tea and there was nothing but Ice in it so they turned around to go back to let them know they forgot my tea and when they did they decided to check the other items to make sure we had them all. My son's food was not even in the bag which was the burger with fries. Then once they received my tea and my son's food they came back to the house. When we opened the food our burgers had no bacon on them, my mother in law's route 66 cherry limeade had no cherry and no lime, and the 2 burgers with no sauce had all sauce on them which my mother in law couldn't eat so she had to scrap it off her burger and throw her bun away. Need less to say this was the worst experience I have had at Sonic and we will not be going back. 77 dollar check was not worth what we got or should I say what we didn't get. Don't know who they have working there but maybe they need to reevaluate there staff...

Stopped by today to order 3 meals. The lady taking my order was rude and tried speaking over me and rush me thru ordering only half listening to anything I said. The screen wasn’t working to display my order and she didn’t repeat it back. Almost our entire order was wrong and it wasn’t complicated. 2 Drinks, a sandwich, and one of the tots were wrong or missing things. Asked to fix it and they brought me back out the exact same wrong order again. When I called the carhop back over and told her it was wrong again her reply was “well I didn’t take your order” as she rolled her eyes and went back in. We finally ended up with the correct sandwich which was burnt chicken. The rest of our order consisted of a burger with bread as hard as a rock and onion rings that were also hard and were either 2 days old or had been re-dipped in the fryer several times that day. That’s what we got for $30. The poor carhop looked like she was struggling to even walk…why is she car hopping on a Saturday at lunch time in 100 degrees?! I worked at sonic for several years and we used to have standards on food & service. Is it because this is in a touristy town so they figure they’ll never see you again?!
