If ever there was an option for a sixth star, this place would have no shortage of six star reviews! We started with having booked online.. where my wife changed the reservation time 6 times. Apparently, the last time she switched it, she accidentally cancelled the entire reservation. So when we arrived we met Debbie at the hostess stand. That's when she told us we no longer had a reservation. My wife almost started crying lol, but, Debbie was super pleasant and so kind, she knew it was our anniversary, and she said "give me a few minutes and I'll get you a table." We had just enough time to get a drink at the bar, where the bartender was so skilled, he knew to ask how dirty my wife wanted her martini! We waited maybe 5 minutes, and Debbie came to seat us. Once we were seated, our sever, Tina, immediately greeted us with a smile... she was absolutely pleasant . She started us off with the most amazing seasoned flatbread with a sundried tomato hummus and cream cheese dip. Our appetizer was fried artichokes with flakes of fresh parmesan , and a homemade Alfredo dipping sauce, IT WAS AMAZING! Then we split a Ceasar salad that was so crisp and fresh, with a homemade dressing that is to die for. For the main course, my wife got the seasonal Fall ravioli and I got the house ribeye. Tina asked "would you like the dusting of coffee and cocoa on your ribeye?" I said, "sounds absolutely crazy, but sure.".. HOLY COW! This steak was unlike any steak I have ever had in my 44 years on this planet! First, my wife borrowed my steak knife to cut her chicken, and in my impatience, I discovered that my steak was so tender, I could just cut it with the side of my fork. UNBELIEVABLE!! The perfect medium pink brightened against the perfectly seared brown edges. Then, the flavor.... I don't know if words are enough....it was exquisite, something right off the Food Network! Hands down the best ribeye I have ever had! (Even better than the $30 dollar an ounce A5 Japanese filet from Porch and Parlor in Memphis.) My wife gave me a taste of her ravioli... I couldn't believe it.. I never expected that much flavor from a ravioli dish. The ravioli was a butternut squash filling with perfectly grilled chicken and mascarprone cheese on top. It melted in your mouth with a flavor that literally encompassed the Fall season. This place is beyond good! It is an excellent experience from the moment you walk in the door! (Hence the manager is working the hostess stand, and anyone who has ever worked in the service industry knows that is a testament to how much they care!) The food is so inspired, that you will even want to the eat the garnish that is touching the magnificent fried artichoke appetizer! And the price is absolutely ridiculous! I paid $30 for a ribeye, that was the BEST STEAK OF MY LIFE,.... no lie! BEST staff, BEST service, BEST manager, BEST food, BEST cocktails! Seasons 101 WILL NOT disappoint! You WILL leave having had one of the greatest culinary experiences you have ever enjoyed and not breaking the bank!!! We will be back! We already have reservations for brunch tomorrow...stay tuned for reviews for what I am sure will be a delectable brunch! Day 2.. We went to brunch.. and Brian, who we saw serving just the night before, was our server. He was very attentive and energetic, despite having just worked the night before. My wife had the Blue Crab Benedict, per Brian's excellent recommendation. I had the French toast. Again, both dishes flavors were perfectly balanced. My wife commented that the crab was so light, without any of the heavy flavors that normally over power dishes with crab. The French toast had a corn flake crust, with fruit, cream, and syrup. It was a whole new level of taste. Brunch was so good, we made sure to squeeze in one last meal before we left town. We had the Italian chicken sandwich, and a cup of the prime rib stew. Both were amazing! And ofcourse the staff was kind and welcoming once again! We will definitely miss this place when...
Read moreThe food at brunch was easily a 5. I ordered the Blue Crab Cakes Benedict which comes with breakfast potatoes. Upon being seated, a warm biscuit with delicious honey butter was brought to the table. The potatoes were the best I’ve had at a restaurant. They reminded me of these grilled potatoes my dad used to make. The portion of crab cakes and eggs was on the smaller side but very tasty. Service could have been greatly improved. My server came over and asked if I was ready to order. I had a menu question so I said, “Well…” and he immediately cut me off and said “ok, I’ll come back” and walked away. I ordered hot tea and was not given cream and had to ask. My check was immediately brought with my food and I wasn’t asked if I’d like anything else. It’s not uncommon for me to eat a meal at a restaurant to try the food and then order something to-go for later if it’s good. The service that other parties who were ordering alcohol received seemed totally different. One server sat down at a table at chatted. While that’s a bit much, my particular server initiated conversation about local spots with another table. Just because I’m a single guest who is not ordering alcohol, I still expect the same level of friendly service. Before leaving, I tried to strike up a conversation by telling the server brunch was great and I was curious about how dinner was. He said, “dinner is a whole different story, I mean brunch is ok but dinner is excellent”. I don’t think disparaging the food is a good vibe, especially at a place that seems to be on the higher end. The hostess and one of the servers were having private conversations that could be overhead while I was waiting for a table. I’m unsure why there was a wait since most tables were open. The conversations centered round morning routines and having a morning smoke. Again, I don’t think this fits the professional vibe of the restaurant. Overall, the food was so delicious, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. I do think certain servers/staff could use a reminder about quality hospitality. I saw and heard one server who seemed to be doing an excellent job. The runner who brought my food was also pleasant. The dinner menu looks incredible and I hope when I return, I’ll be more impressed with the overall experience. *Thanks to the restaurant for taking the time to thoroughly read my review and respond to my concerns! Yes, the server did interact while clearing the table because as I said, I initiated a conversation by asking about dinner and complimenting my brunch. I’m excited to see the new pastry/coffee spot you’ve opened. I’ll definitely be back to visit and will update my review afterwards (hopefully...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting this restaurant. We had a reservation for later in the evening but the hostess was able to work some magic and seat us right away. The ambiance is lovely. We sat down to order a couple of cocktails which took a reasonable amount of time. We ordered our meals within 20 minutes of being seated and ordered another cocktail at that time. Unfortunately our server was not attentive in the slightest. We observed every other table around us receiving regular checks and refreshes by their servers. It took at least another 30 minutes to receive our next cocktail. Tables around us were being served their food and beverages in prompt fashion. Our mood started going downhill. New diners came in all around us. The new diners received appetizers well before we received our meals. Finally our meals were delivered 1.5 hours after being seated. We didn’t even order any appetizers. 2 meals. Their seafood special and a ribeye. Diners around us seated at least an hour after us had drinks and appetizers before our meal, and right after our meal came out they received theirs in quick order. Unfortunately my husbands steak was chewy. The flavor was great but when expressing the texture to our server, we were told that he had been noticing steaks from the store being less marbled and wondered if this had anything to do with beef being more grass fed. Didn’t offer to take anything off of our bill or refire a steak. A steak strait from a grocery store should be a much different quality than a 30 day dry aged ribeye. Period. By that point we just wanted to leave. We finished our meal then sat and waited for our server to give us the bill, much longer than it should have taken. After delivering the bill we waited and waited in order to check out. We were at the restaurant for 2 hours with a small child before finally getting the manager to ring us out. Our bill was not cheap. The service was terrible. Our meal was uncomplicated while others received timely service around us. It’s unfortunate because my meal was delicious, the flavors were great on the steak just not a good texture. Others were obviously receiving attentive service and good food. When your bill is $140 for a couple of cocktails and 2 meals, you expect a certain level of quality. I don’t know if...
