The Dolly Parton statue, prominently located on the lawn of the Sevier County Courthouse in Sevierville, TN, is an absolute must-see for any fan of the legendary country music icon. Sculpted by local artist Jim Gray and unveiled in 1987, it beautifully captures Dolly as a young woman, seated on a rock with her guitar, beaming her signature smile. It's more than just a statue; it's a heartfelt tribute from her hometown, acknowledging her immense contributions to the community through her success and philanthropy. The bronze likeness exudes her charm and down-to-earth spirit, making it incredibly relatable and inviting for photos. It's a popular spot, and rightly so. Even if you're not a die-hard fan, it's a poignant reminder of her humble beginnings and incredible journey. The location itself in downtown Sevierville adds to its appeal, allowing visitors to easily combine a visit with exploring other local shops and attractions. If driving through the area, make it a point to stop by the sweet little spot. It was nice to see how Dolly Parton has been honored for Her contributions to this area. While We were there, we found ourselves offering to take pictures of other couples. It is a nice place to interact with people from all areas of the US. We were Blessed to meet a wonderful couple vacationing from Texas. We offered to take their picture and in turn they offered to take Ours. This went on for some time. While We struck up a conversation with Our new found friends from out of town, We all offered to take pictures for others taking pictures themselves. It was so nice to engage others around Us and to re-realize the importance of engagement with others around Us. We all need to take a breath and reconnect with those around Us. We were all built to engage with others and not become more decisive. Find Your place...

Atmosphere & Environment We visited this charming square early on a Saturday morning, and it was absolutely peaceful. The weather was perfect—mild and refreshing—which made for a relaxing and calm stroll. This area feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It’s a quiet little escape that lets you slow down and just enjoy the moment. The square is surrounded by quaint local shops and small restaurants, adding to the small-town charm. It’s a great place to wander, take in the scenery, and enjoy a slower pace. One of the highlights was seeing the Dolly Parton statue, which sits proudly in front of the courthouse—a must-see for any fan. The whole experience was a breath of fresh air, offering a moment of peace and connection in the heart of East Tennessee.

The statue is okay. Not the best I've seen in representing a person. This one looks like they tried to bo or Dolly a little on the cheap side. It was filthy and covered with spider webs when we went to see it in the courtyard of the Courthouse (which is really poorly built and designed to look really old even though it was built in the 70s) The street to get to the statue was completely ripped out and converted to gravel, very little parking and all in all the whole thing is a bit underwhelming.
