Coffee Shop No. 488 Central Coffee & Crumb Sevierville, TN
WOW!! The attention to detail in the shop’s decor really stood out to me the moment I opened the door. The shop is located in the corner of the first floor of the Historic Central Hotel in downtown Sevierville, Tennessee. It is meticulously decorated with what reminded me of a Victorian style seating area on one side of the shop and a Parisian style on the other side. Gold frames, mirrors and portraits decorated pale pink walls. Bouquets of pastel peonies sit on a bar placed in front of the windows perfect for people watching. Single stem peonies rested happily in delicate small fluted vases and welcomed guests at each table. Myy favorite were the vintage trunks placed against the walls in one of the corners.
I have yet to visit Paris, but as I sipped on my cortado I daydreamed about the magic of a French cafe. One day in my future when I am leisurely sitting outside on a terrace wearing a red beret (cliche I know) sipping on my cortado and watching the world stroll by. Sounds like a perfect day to me.

Read moreCentral Coffee & Crumb is a charming, atmospheric café that leans into a French identity, both in name and décor. The space is cozy and inviting, with soft couches and tasteful design that evokes a European café without feeling forced. The overall vibe is warm and relaxed, and the staff is exceptionally friendly.
I ordered an iced latte and a cortado—both were excellent. The coffee quality here stands out and clearly receives the attention it deserves. Unfortunately, the croissants didn’t quite live up to the French label. They were more like soft buns than flaky pastries. That said, finding an authentic croissant in the U.S. is notoriously difficult, so I don’t hold that too strongly against them—even though I hoped for more, considering their branding.
Aside from that one letdown, everything else was enjoyable. I’d gladly come back to try more of their baked goods and enjoy another well-made coffee in such a...
Read moreAs a Sevierville local, I’ve always loved this spot—back when it was Honeybee, it was my go-to for working remotely or meeting with clients. The atmosphere was cozy, and the availability of WiFi made it a reliable option for getting things done. Under the new ownership, it still maintains a lot of its charm and remains a cute and inviting space. However, it’s worth noting that they no longer offer WiFi and now close at 2pm, which makes it less suitable for anyone looking to spend a few hours working on a laptop. That said, if you’re just looking to grab a coffee and relax for a bit, it’s still a sweet little place...
