Have experienced two horrible interactions over the past month and will do our best to give the better tasting and better staffed restaurants in the area our business instead.
My first interaction was placing a mobile order for parking, waiting 18 minutes, and finally having to walk inside and ask for my order, to which the employee said, "My bad." That was it. No apology or making things right, just "My bad." And the order was wrong!
The next time we reluctantly come, I think fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Boy, was I wrong. We did a mobile order this time, however choose to pick it up in the drive-thru. Got up to the window fast, and the worker said, "Can you pull into spot 2? We are just waiting on fresh nuggets." So we did. And waited. People came and went. We waited. People came and went. We waited. After 25 minutes NO GUESTS remained anywhere.
I walked in, stared at, and stood at the counter for 10 minutes. No one said a word.
I finally asked for a manager and a guy who looked like he was just woken up I asked how he could help me and I told him we were in lane two for 35 minutes. He pulled our ticket and looked at the food that had been sitting in the warmer for probably 30 minutes now and said they were waiting on fresh fries. Another 5 minutes pass and a lady who had stared at me for the last 15 minutes said "you asked for me?" So I then tell her we've been waiting for 40 minutes, her response? "My bad, we're short staffed."
Once again, no apology. No can we get you something to make up for this? No your meal will be comped. Nothing, just another "my bad."
And to top it off, our order was wrong again and had been sitting so long, a lot of items were inedible.
This is unacceptable. Short staffed doesn't equate to 20 other orders being filled and yours not. And certainly doesn't equate to "my bad" being the only thing said to customers being done wrong.
*may 12, 2024. Fool me once. Fool me twice. Fool me three times, apparently. Guess who waited 40 minutes just now for 1 value pack? Guess who was only told, "Oh, my bad, bro." Never again. Same song and dance as the...
Read moreInside is usually ok. The ketchup is out more than its not. Service is usually quick in the morning. Most of the employees are robot friendly. The DRIVE THRU is a whole other story. One of the slowest anywhere. Something is wrong with the drive thru drink machine. I has tasted like fungus or mold growing in the lines for a couple of years now and getting worse. I cant believe one of the managers has never tasted the drinks from the drive-thru machine. Sometimes you get someone in the drive thru that has learned the job but usually its like talking to a zombie. This one only survives because it is the first thing off I-40. If anything changes I will update this review. UPDATE: 05-10-2017 I have to remove a star. This is now a 1 star review. I try not to give 1 star reviews but this place has earned it. I know better than to use the drive thru so I went in. There were few people inside so I got to the counter fast and the nice lady that took my order at 1209pm was great. I then patiently waited for 20 minutes...nothing. They even removed my number from the call screen. I only ordered 1 combo meal. I walked up to the counter with my receipt in hand. Employees and even a manager ignored me for close to 5 minutes. Im thinking you have to be kidding me. I can see my burger sitting on the ledge where it had been for about 10 minutes. Then a manager sits a tray for someone else right under my nose and walks away trying not to make eye contact. I finally said is everyone back there going to keep ignoring me? One lady who had been barking orders like she was in charge said "Ive been over here"...she had been there about 30 seconds and had walked right by me 3 or 4 times. I finally got my food with no apologies...no one said anything...they just threw my tray on the couter and walked away. It was never busy inside...
Read moreI have tried for months to get a decent meal for my client from this place and it's regrettable every time. I officially have no faith in the McDonald's on Kickapoo st. If it's not burnt it's not the right order to begin with. There's always something missing and forget trying to get them to fix it. It's not even worth fighting with them to do their job that's the extent of my message here. Save your money and time and go get yourselves a meal worth the trouble. I miss the days they made 7.25 because their quality of service was actually decent then. I remember the days you could load your whole family up and eat a warm breakfast for a cheap price regardless of what your going through and there was no judgement because it was a great family establishment but after all I have seen from this place I will not be returning again. It doesn't matter how good you treat this place they will make you regret ordering here. Maybe it's different if you dine in but my client is over 70 with serious health issues and disabilities so we cant just get out and about whenever we want plus when you work 160+ hours you have to depend on help sometimes because your just dead as a wood door. It's sad, when I was making minimum wage I still gave the best service I could but I can't even raise enough hell to get them to do their jobs for $10 and hour. I barely make more then that and I have lives in my hands. I hope for the family that owns this establishments sake, these kids get it together because I'd hate to see another community role model fade away. For over 10 years I have enjoyed this establishment but today will be the end of...
