Sunny's Breakfast Lunch — Restaurant in Shelby Charter Township

I’ve been to Sunny’s twice now and I am still impressed. The food is incredible, FRESH, and portioned perfectly. The first time I came here I ordered a steak omelette with the potatoes. The steak inside the omelette was shaved meat and the egg was very thin and not browned which are both my preferences. The potatoes had a good flavor and crunch- not doused in fake oil/ butter. The portion was enough to make two meals. I also got vanilla iced coffee with oatmilk and toast. I’m not kidding when I say I’ve thought about that coffee a lot- in my opinion most diner/ lunch spots have horrific coffee. Now, the toast, I was so happy that it came out dry without any of that fake oil butter stuff! Not to mention the quality and the speed my food came out !!

Today I ordered the Bass omelet and added banana peppers and feta with tater tots. I’m not lying when I say this was the best choice for me- I’d get this omelet over again and again. The tater tots were SO crunchy and didn’t taste like the fryer oil- huge score! I also split the cheese cake French toast with my daughter and it was fluffy and not too sweet. Once again, I had enough food for 2 meals but then again I don’t eat a ton. Today I tried a hazelnut oatmilk iced latte and I liked this one too. However I had the waitress make it less sweet and she met the assignment!

The music selection brings an old time feel and the ambiance and cleanliness bring upon a comfort/ sense of class.

You can tell the owner and employees take pride in delivering quality meals and service. The girls were attentive and efficient.

I would love to see this place have a line at the door, they definitely deserve it!

This type of place would BOOM in Grosse Pointe / Royal Oak/ Detroit .

I have been following Sunny's on Instagram since opening day and was finally able to experience the gorgeous food I had been admiring for so long! 😋 We were immediately delighted upon walking in, through the clean glass doors, to notice the beautiful decor and vibe. Our family of 5 was greeted by a polite young lady, Elena, who offered we sit anywhere we like. Elena set the tone for our visit and followed through with kindness and efficiency and we appreciated her so much. While perusing the menu and then waiting on our food, we enjoyed our specialty coffees. Sunny's food exceeded our expectations. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and exactly as you would imagine from the Instagram photos! I had to make sure and share our experience, because they simply deserve the praise. We can't wait...

Incredibly amazing food and service! You'd be hard pressed to find anyplace that's better! But (and there's always a but), be prepared for the bill. It's extremely expensive.

Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely worth it... every now and again. I wouldn't frequent the place, because I'd be out of house and home if I did, but it's a wonderful place to visit every month or so.

The food is unique, made with top quality ingredients and a cook/chef that definitely knows what they're doing. The staff is very friendly and stops by your table perfectly (not too frequently, nor too little).
