Nice, well managed park. It has a playground, 2 volleyball courts side by side, basketball courts, soccer fields and paved walking paths. Though I did not need to use them the bathrooms are in a fixed structure and not port-a-potties which is nice. If you happened to noticed the large pond that appears to be included as part of this park in the overhead map view then I regret to inform you that it's not. This was the main reason I scouted this park in the first place thinking that it was. That's not to say you can't gain access, which you can very easily throughout many of the breaks along the fence and despite the fact no one seems to police this and I saw no signs stating to "keep out" or "no trespassing" I would still imagine you would be if you ventured in as I did. With that said, fishing here didn't seem to promising. I saw many dead fish and a oil base residue floating on parts of the water near the shoreline. Also I found it a little strange the limited amount of waterfowl that were here for such a tucked away little pond. Personally I would fish elsewhere if that's...
Read moreOFF LEASH DOGS ALWAYS. This park deserves 5 stars. It’s in my neighborhood and we go almost every day. BUT we have been charged by dogs over and over again. No matter what time you go there is at the very least one dog off leash. The police have told me to arm myself since I don’t feel my child is safe on our daily walks. We ask people over and over to leash their dogs and they are extremely rude about it. Most say their dog is friendly, but we have been charged and growled at many times. If you or your children are scared of dogs avoid this park. And if you have a dog (leashed at all times) expect to be charged by dogs and plan to yell that you are coming (as suggested by people even though there are tons of blind spots). We have been charged by off leash dogs as we are walking into the Storybook section of the woods as well. So that has ruined it for us and many other families. Many friends of mine that live in our neighborhood no longer go there with their families because of the loose dogs. Very sad that no one with do...
Read moreI love this park beside the people that always walks their dog off its leash! Come on. I can not tell you how many people I see do this and a lot do not pick up after their dogs. I seen two large deer there this past week and if one of those dogs chase them, that could be a disaster. There are kids there all the time, playing sports, playing in the play area, Elderly walking with walkers and runners( teens practicing) around the path,. Something needs to be done, before someone gets seriously hurt and suited...
And it could happen because at a different park my dog was attacked by a pitbull and a couple months ago my dog and I were chased by another one in the area. Please put up more signs and a place where some of these people can grab a bag and pick up...
