Jammin J's Pizza Factory — Restaurant in Shelby

Edit: I'm changing from a one star because the owner took the time to find out how to get a hold of me and personally apologize and it wasn't even him that was the problem, but I greatly appreciate his willingness to make it right. Had recently purchased a discount card from the high school to support the football team, noticed there was a medium, pepperoni, carry out only, for $5 so decided to try it out. Will NEVER go back!! I ordered my pizza asked for extra sauce, they lady that took my order informed me it would be an extra charge, I said that was fine, paid and went to wait. A lady whom I later found out is the manager came up to me and asked if I had ordered a pizza with extra sauce, I replied yes ma'am. She then sternly tells me not to do that again, if I was going to use the coupon they wouldn't make any changes or add ons( mind you I paid extra, it was NOT FREE) Her reason that she explained to me was because they are not affiliated with Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Little Ceasers etc and the owner has to pay for everything out of his own pocket anf can't afford it especially on a medium pizza. Again I paid for the extra sauce!!! If I had went to one of the places she had mentioned it would've been free, just saying. I was nice and apologized and said I understood. A few moments later I got my pizza, when I checked it the pizza it literally looked like it was thrown in the box. I took it home and tried to call an speak to the owner about the whole situation, the same lady who had said something to me surprisingly answered the phone and told me he wasn't there, mind you I seen him in the back, seen him walk out and go across the road to the gas station and back while I was waiting on my pizza. Then she said he was to busy I could leave a message with her and she would get it to him, I then asked if it would be easier if I just came back to speak to him before they closed she then she said he was gone to the grocery store for supplies so I just hung up. It sad people have their business put on things to "support schools" and then treat the people who pay for the supportive item like trash!! I wasn't asking for a hand out or for anything for free, I paid for the coupons, the pizza, and THE EXTRA SAUCE. I will not...

My daughter and I went Sunday 11-1-20 since it was one of the few places in Cleveland County that you can sit down and eat. Let me set the scene for you, it was around 2pm the dinning room was pretty full, we went to the buffet and the pizza was pretty old looking and each pan more than half gone. I counted around 30 people in the dining room, that's not counting the game room, so I thought for sure that fresh pizza was coming. After 20min I went back to buffet was still same pizza so I went back and sat down to wait, in the meantime a small child's birthday party came in they went to the buffet and came back with bread sticks so the old pizza wasn't appealing to them either. After 45min I went to ask about fresh pizza and was ignored but continued to stand and wait until someone asked me "what do you need " so I asked about fresh pizza and was told it was in the oven,so I returned to my seat where I could see the kitchen and in the next 15min I saw several pizza's come out and put in boxes none went to the buffet. I then went to speak to the manager and he called a lady from the kitchen to help me and I asked her about fresh pizza and she said the same thing,"its in the oven" when I started complaining that we had been there 45min plus and no fresh pizza had came from the kitchen the man who was on the phone turned around to rudly say " just give her a refund ". I am personally sick and tired of going out to support local businesses and the owners and workers could care less about their customers and even less about the quality of food they are producing, I have worked in restaurants or grocery stores my whole life and would be ashamed to treat someone like that. We only go out a few times a month and it has gotten worse...

I give it 1 star because everything but the salad sucked to be honest. I took my wife there for our 25yrs anniversary. She had been wanting to try it for some time now. We won't be going back. For the price we paid for the buffet, to the service we received from the staff. Usually at a buffet you can ask for something special to be made. We did and some guy in the side office stuck his head out and said if there was 2 of more pizzas on the buffet then they can't. But the skinny blonde had th made anyway. But by the time they came out, we was already full. The pizza that they did have was God awful. After about 30 mins we asked if our pizza's was about done. And the guy who was in the office. The one with the man bun, said that they will come out when they come out. Again like I said, by the time they did come out, we was already full on salad. Because the pizza there was nasty. I tried to get some of the staffs attention, just to be looked at and ignored. Nope will not go back and will not recommend. And will also give my viewers on youtube the same recommendation. The sad thing is I told the blond cashier that I do reviews on restaurants alot. I guess she didn't believe me. Don't waste your money...
