⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – Outstanding Experience at McAlister’s Deli in Shelby, NC!

I stopped by McAlister’s Deli in Shelby, NC today, and let me just say — wow! It’s been about three years since I last ate at one (I’m from Asheville, and sadly our location closed down), but this visit was everything I hoped for and more.

From the moment I walked in, the service was top-notch. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuinely made me feel welcome. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they do.

The atmosphere was clean, relaxed, and inviting — and then there was the food. McAlister’s always offers a great variety, but my go-to for a quick, satisfying bite is the BLT’A sandwich. If you haven’t tried it yet, you are seriously missing out. The bread was perfectly toasted, the veggies were fresh and crisp, and the bacon? Crispy perfection, just the way it should be.

Today’s lunch was more than just a meal — it was a reminder of what McAlister’s stands for: quality, service, and consistency. Huge shoutout to the team at the Shelby location — you made my day!

This was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I waited over 40 minutes for my food, and it never came. No one checked in with me, no explanation, nothing. I finally went to the front desk to ask for a refund, and the manager gave me one, but I had to wait another 10 minutes—and even then, the refund was incomplete.

She told me that because of the wait, they’d still give me the food “on the house.” She went to the kitchen to grab it… and never came back. I stood there waiting until it was clear she wasn’t returning.

Not only did I lose my time, I also got robbed since I never received a full refund or the food they promised me. Horrible service, zero communication, and no accountability. If you value your time and money,...

Our service… I’m not sure if his name was Landon? But he kept checking on us to make sure we were having a good lunch and he was very sweet. Management could use some tips from him cause the manager or who ever he was wearing the red shirt pouring sodas not only did he have a nasty attitude but his face expressions didn’t hide his attitude either. I asked for a little ice nicely and he took the soda to the back I’m assuming to dump it out because he filled the cup of ice all the way to the top of the cup, but he rolled his eyes and was just rude.
