If you find yourself wandering the streets of this small Kentucky town, a hidden culinary gem awaits you at La Poblanita Taqueria. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, this unassuming taqueria is a treasure trove of authentic Mexican flavors that will leave you craving more.
The burritos (I got the ground beef w/ queso!) at La Poblanita Taqueria are nothing short of magnificent; they have elevated this humble dish to a level of perfection. Each bite bursts with a symphony of flavors that dance on your taste buds, making it hard to believe that something so simple could be so extraordinary. The ingredients are fresh and lovingly prepared, and you can taste the care and passion in every bite.
But what truly sets this taqueria apart is their daring and impressive beef tongue tacos. Skeptics be warned: these delectable treats are a culinary experience like no other. The beef tongue is cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, and seasoned with just the right balance of spices. Even those who may be hesitant to try such a dish will be pleasantly surprised by the rich, savory goodness it offers.
La Poblanita Taqueria may not boast the colorful decorations or fancy ambiance that you'd find in more mainstream Mexican restaurants, but it captivates with its authenticity. From the warm and friendly staff to the traditional recipes, the restaurant exudes a genuine Mexican charm that takes you on a flavorful journey to the heart of Mexico.
This taqueria might be small, but it packs a mighty punch when it comes to delivering genuine, mouthwatering Mexican cuisine. If you're in the mood for an adventure for your taste buds and appreciate the real essence of Mexican flavors, La Poblanita Taqueria is an absolute must-visit. Read moreTacos were good, but small. I ordered 3 tacos supreme. And they were $3 a piece. Didnt wait long for order to be ready. I ordered chicken, steak and ground beef. They also have Chorizo taco, which I didnt try.The ground beef had a really good flavor and was the best by far. The chicken was in small little chunks that were dry and kind of hard, as if it were old or been sitting around uncovered. All of the items were written in Spanish with English translation underneath. Cashier had to describe some of the items for me, which was very helpful. All in all, I would go again. I even asked her how to pronounce the name of their restaurant. My journeyman at the Ford KTP told me about the restaurant, but he didnt know the address or the name...lol, he just said look for the Long John Silvers and you'll see it right next door. The Speedway is directly...
Read moreGoodbye Taco Bell!! We used to eat at Taco Bell 2-3 times per month - we have already had dinner from La Poblanita 3 times in the past 2 weeks - better flavor, fresher food and you cannot beat the prices for authentic Mexican!! My kid craves this place and suggests it every time we are looking to get a meal out. Nothing on atmosphere - pretty much a take out counter in an old converted convenience store that has housed a string of failed restaurants now... but who cares? They have a few tables if you want to eat in - or we usually call ahead and order take out - our order is ready to go before we can even drive over! The fresh salsa and condiments bar is terrific - the "HOT" sauce - actually IS super hot! (Love it) - give La Poblanita a try - I foresee this place being successful in Shelby County for...
