Today was one of the worst days I have ever experienced at Babin’s in the Woodlands. My wife and I have been customs at this place for over 13 years. We have also loved it so much that we became Select Members about 12 years ago. Today my wife and I stopped in hoping to sit down and eat but unfortunately we needed to make reservations. Not a problem though. We were ok with getting the food to go. While I was waiting to speak with a waiter my 6 yo daughter and I could hear a manager by the name of Caney speaking to the meal preparers and waiters in a very unprofessional way and tone. I asked my daughter to wait near her mom who was positioned a little bit farther away from the inappropriate language. After a few minutes I took the family back to the car to wait. After about 20 minutes I returned to the restaurant to check on our order. The nice host delivered the order to me and then I promptly returned to the truck. Inside the truck we checked our food to ensure that everything was correct. After looking through our order we noticed that a meal and 3 sides were missing. I returned to the restaurant with the bag and spoke with the host who was extremely pleasant and quickly attempted to resolve the issue. The host approached her manager Caney and immediately she became upset and started to throw food out of the bag as if we were not telling the truth. I quickly jumped in to stop the angry manager who thought it was ok to shout at the employee and me. I asked her why she thought it was ok to raise her tone at an employee or a paying guess. I quickly re-called in front of her entire staff how she was talking to all of them in a unprofessional tone and setting a horrible atmosphere for the company. I asked her to lower her voice when she was speaking to me a paying customer. During the entire conversation she continued to throw around our food and even ran over employee ls throughout the kitchen. It was almost like watching Sunday Night football. Poor employees. I asked the other manager if she would step in to correct the behavior, but she did not. The host and the other manager apologized for Caney’s behavior. It really seemed like something was very unstable with this employee. In my opinion this employee should not be allowed to work in this establishment. I looked around to see the employees facial expressions and from what I could see they were all appreciative of someone speaking up. We love Babin’s and hold them to a high standard. I told my wife that we will no longer support this establishment as long as she is employed there. It is not a safe environment for employees or customers. I hope that when I speak with corporate they will hear me and...
Read moreSo I am late giving my review…this happened almost a month ago. My entire family went to dinner here at 7 pm on December 26, 2023. We had 6 people in our party.
We were greeted by a teenage, male host that was in a foul mood from the moment we walked in. He was very annoyed, acted like he wanted to be anywhere else. He proceeded to walk us to a filthy table and expected us to sit down. I’m talking filthy….food crumbs, straw wrappers, other customers’ mess ALL OVER the TABLE and the booth itself.
I told him we did not want that table and could we please be seated somewhere else.
He was absolutely angry and annoyed with that request and didn’t mind letting us know. He sighed, rolled his eyes and quickly walked us to another section. He then started whispering with waitress in that section and they both stared at us as if we were the biggest inconvenience.
The service after that wasn’t any better. We were treated like garbage by the waitress, the host and even the woman who serves salads and brings the food to the table. All of them were very short with us, slammed our plates down, kept staring at us.
All of this happened because we didn’t want to sit at a dirty table that nobody bothered to clean. I guess we were supposed to be happy to sit in other peoples’ filth.
We have been coming to this location for over 10 years and had never experienced anything like that before. For the money you spend to eat there, that is abysmal customer service.
Frankly, get a new host. That teenage kid acts like he would be happier doing anything other than working there. And that’s who they have greeting customers. Oh well. Not going back when there’s plenty of other restaurants in the Woodlands that don’t treat their customers...
Read moreWe’ve been coming here for 3 years…. We completely fell in love with the food when we have came here the 1st time but throughout the years the food has let us down numerous times but still tend to give this place another chance. Yesterday would most likely be the last time we go. My husband and I waited with our 3 children for over an hour just to receive our food. The waitress who was very polite said “I’m sorry you haven’t gotten your good, please feel free to get a dessert after. It’s on me” knowing ourselves we hardly get dessert as dinner tends to fill us up so we weren’t happy with the offer but thankful. Our food arrived minutes after. My fish was over cooked and struggled to even break it apart. My husband’s food was undercooked and his food taste awful. He set it aside and let the waitress take it. She clearly saw he only seemed to take a bite and still charged him for his food and the extra side. The manager came to our table and said “I’m sorry your food was late, I will take off 10% and take one of the children’s dinners off”. We asked to apply the military discount and she refused as we were already getting 10% off. Total came out to $122. That is the MOST we’ve ever had to pay even with a child’s plate and 10% being taken off. We are eager for a refund as our food was not only late but was also not eaten because of how under and overcooked our meals were. We are no longer attending this place and have become disappointed every...
