Today was my first day trying this place. We have all heard the "Red Robin yummm" catch phrase, well I wanted to try it for myself. The place is mediocre at best. Let me explain: When I walked in the door I mentioned to the hostess that it was my first time at the establishment and she got a worried look on her face I knew then it was gonna be a bad one but I kept faith lol. I went to the bar and was surprised they had a bar well stocked of liquor and draft beer. I was going to get it to go but I decided to take in the experience. The bartender was attentive and got right to the point. "What are you drinking and are you ready to order?" Loved it. I I once again mentioned it was my first time and wanted to keep it traditional..... I ordered the Gourmet bacon cheeseburger. Lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo and regular fries. Simple.
To drink I had a 22 oz draft Miller Lite with a lime. I could tell the beer was flat so I asked to change it to bud light. (I would normally be drinking Dos XX but they don't have those.) The bud light was flatter then the Miller lite. I made no fuss and down it to maybe get a buzz before my food arrived. There was no chance of me ordering another one. Burger came out fast and I could tell the bun looked nothing like the picture. It was a bit dry. The worst part of the burger was the onions. Those were not fresh onions. In all the burger was a 3/10 at best. Nothing memorable that would make me want to say "I can't wait to comeback." Fries were fair because I drowned them with chalula.. Red Robin is like a unexceptional Fuddruckers. My bill was $24 .. I gave the bartender $6 and that was that. It was worth checking it off my list of restaurant's but not gonna comeback here unless we have a hurricane flood and they're the only...
Read moreIt's been a while though we do enjoy the food here. I was stunned to see $15 burgers. Some higher than that. Asked for an angry orchard, then after other drinks and food come, I ask the waiter about it. He apologizes (I do think he forgot about it) and leaves. Several minutes later comes back to say, they are out on tap, but do I want a bottle. I do. He leaves again, several minutes go by. Comes back and says they have no bottles, but would I like something different. We are way into the meal at this point, so I pass on the drink. It was still on our bill at the time to pay and had to request it be removed (a bad touch after the fact). Like I said, its been a while, I saw a lot of nice looking things on the menu. A bbq chicken sandwich sounded good, and won out. Waiter brought the sandwich, which was very clearly a plain chicken sandwich. I say, this was supposed to be a bbq chicken (I thought he would just take it back and fix it, which would have been totally okay) but he says "the sauce is under the cheese" and leaves. I lift the bun, and really you can so clearly see there is no sauce at all. But I pull the cheese back anyway, no sauce. I wait again for him to return, and show him. He agrees there is no bbq sauce, and I get a cup to pour the sauce on the burger. I guess. He seemed overworked, but at the same time I do feel like that kind of stuff can add up to being frustrating and take away from having a good time and feeling like it was money well spent. We must have sat and visited for 20 minutes before we flagged him down to get more fries for some of the kids (the "bottomless" fries) which nobody stops to ask if you want more, is everything okay, do you need refills. It was not good service, no matter how...
Read moreI rarely leave 5 stars because I feel that most places could usually always do a bit better. Not the case with today’s experience at this location. I had been here a few times previously, but never left a review until now. Today is Mother’s Day and it wasn’t busy when we arrived (which you wouldn’t have guessed from the amount of cars that seemed to be in the parking lot) and you know that today is a massive day for restaurants!! I usually hate going out on this day, and will completely skip it and go out later in the week but my child’s birthday is also tomorrow so coming here made sense because he had a reward.
Jordyn (server) was spectacular; VERY attentive and didn’t forget a single thing. I feel like every time I asked for anything (not often because I make a point to not have my servers running constantly!), it was at my table in less than a minute, save the meal itself because that is not something she can control. Experience with the manager, JD, was a treat as well. I had asked a question, rather for a clarification from Jordyn and he (manager) happened to walk by and also answer the question/concern as well. He was constantly walking around, looking things over, I think I even saw him bring dishes to the back and getting a few drinks for others. He was talking to all the tables at some point or another, checking in and just making sure that everyone is having a great experience, which is always appreciated & a smart thing to do, in you want to ensure customer...
