ZERO! Stars ALL around!!! That was the worst food Iâve had in my entire life! Iâm mad I have to give them 1 star!
The drinks: I thought I might need to go to an emergency room the cup they gave me for my water soda was chipped and not clean! I had ordered a sprite and it came to me tasting like carbonated tap water! Just horrible and dangerous! They need to get rid of their BROKEN DISHES!!!
The Food: It was Luke warm at best and tasted like it was 2-3 days old! The beef and broccoli is disgusting! The broccoli was rotten on the sides! The beef tasted like flower like it wasnât cooked properly! The egg rolls were rotten inside and tasted like death it self! The noodles were soggy and flavorless just horrible! The crab legs tasted like old stale water after the first bite! The fried food tasted like tap water also which I donât know how you can even manage that fried boiled chicken should be the name they used for their display! The best thing I ate was the mussels which even then they were not more then a 4/10 themselves and my mothers had white spots on it making us both sick to our stomachs! The chicken on a stick was so hard I couldnât even bite it! The bananas in red sauce were old and mushy with brown spots making my little sister scared to even get one! The cakes were store bought and still bad they were old like when you leave bread out and they get dry that was that cake DRY AND NASTY! The ice cream a frozen treat was served in plastic with plastic spoons to eat it with just a disappointment! Over all I rather starve than eat their food again!
The store its self was disgusting too! The horrible smell that had me looking at the king and questioning how this could be fit for a king smelled worse then a dirty pig! Just smelt like the worst thing ever! Just death! I should have taken my group of people out of their off that alone! The floor was sticky as if they had floors made of gum! The chairs were grimy like they hadnât been cleaned for a long period of time and the table we were sat at was greasy! The bathroom was dirty and missing toilet paper!
If I could I would get Gordon there if only I had his personal sell! We all looked for anything to eat just one good thing and left there hungry with our pockets $120 negative I rather spend that money on anywhere else if I could! I hope I donât get food poisoning! DO NOT ENTER THIS HORRIBLE PLACE PLEASE TAKE YOUR...
Read moreSo I hit up King Buffet in Sherman today, and⌠oof. Itâs one of those places where the concept is solid, but the execution? Not so much.
Letâs start with the floors. Sticky. Everywhere. Like, your shoes audibly protest with every step. It set the tone immediately, and not in a good way.
The food? Lukewarm at best, and clearly had been sitting out for a while. Most of it was just tired. The flavor wasnât terribleâyou could tell it could be decent if it were fresh and hotâbut unfortunately, it wasnât either of those things. The sushi rice was basically crunchy, so yeah⌠it had definitely passed its prime.
Now, credit where itâs due: the Mongolian grill was actually pretty good. Fresh ingredients, cooked right in front of you, and hotâgo figure. So if you do end up there, maybe just stick to that station and call it a win.
The building itself looks nice from the outside, but thereâs this awful smell when you walk in that hits you like a wall. It does get better the closer you get to the buffet, but the initial impression isnât doing them any favors.
Bathroom was oddly dark, but at least it was clean and well-stocked. Small wins, I guess.
All in all, the experience felt like a mix of âthis could be greatâ and âsomeone please change the sushi out.â Would I go back? Maybe if I was starving and only wanted Mongolian grill. Otherwise,...
Read moreI normally love Chinese buffets. Like other reviewers have stated, this one leaves a lot to be desired. Some food was good, and other standard staples were bad. Soups, honey chicken, fried chicken (skewers and wings) and pork egg roll were good. Spring Rolls were undercooked with cold soggy center. Pot stickers were dried out, cool and served with dumpling sauce that was very cold (straight out of fridge). General Tsaos & Orange Chicken - the staple main entree of all Chinese buffets were both soggy from the runny sauce - I couldnât eat it. Beef & Broccoli (another mainstay) had very tough beef. Seems like they used a very cheap cut of meat and failed to tenderize it enough. Ribs were Texas style with TX BBQ sauce, not Chinese Char Su style, and were VERY fatty - so that was kind of gross & a mismatch for the restaurant. I was there for Saturday lunch buffet and employees kids were running (not walking) around like the whole restaurant was a playground. They need to fix a lot of things to make this measure up to the average Chinese buffet, thus making it quite sub-par for Chinese buffets. I will not be returning. Panda Express is a much better alternative. The owner would be well served to go visit other Chinese buffets in Plano or Dallas to see just how this one can...
