We had been putting off coming here, restaurants post lock down just haven't been impressing us much. But, I have to say we really enjoyed our meals here Tuesday afternoon. My enchiladas were seriously some of the best I have had out in a long time! They weren't cold in the middle, the hamburger was actually seasoned and they weren't so overdone on the bottom that I needed a knife to cut them. Which has been the standard in most Mexican places lately. Wish there had been some cheese on the beans. My husband had a fried burrito that he said was really good as well. The chips and salsa were nice and fresh too!
Our server was friendly and did the best she could since she was seating, waiting tables and playing bartender...which leads to...
My only complaint is the amount of time we waited to get more chips and an ice tea refill. This wait was caused by not having a dedicated bartender. There should always be a dedicated bartender, during non peak hours give them a section with a couple of tables. (30+ years in the biz, just so you know before you come at me saying I don't know what I'm talking about). We spent way too much time with no drink for my husband and no chips, I like to dip the chips in the beans, because our server was making drinks for another table. Not having a hostess/host during non peak hours is ok, but don't make them seat, wait tables and make bar drinks.
Overall we really liked this place and will certainly return. As long as I don't get hostility from the owner on this review. I don't know when it became ok for owners to attack people when they don't agree with a review. I've been seeing that quite a bit lately and it doesn't reflect well on...
Read moreGf and I had lunch here for black Friday shopping. 1st time for both of us. Food was good. Gf had lunch chicken fajitas and the protion was large. We were both shocked how much she got. I had a chimi which was suppose to be the same fajita meat. What we weird. So weird was the first 1/2 of the chimi was just fajita chicken. Then the 2nd 1/2 was shredded with some kind of red sauce. Was shocked they charged $1 extra to get charro beans instead of refried and then I only got 1/2 a bowl. Gauc was bland. Just tasted like mashed avocado. Charged extra for a side of sour cream, which is fine. But i literally got a teaspoons worth of it. They use alot of lettus for garnish and sadly it was all wilted and a turn off. Chips, salsa and queso was all good. We asked our waitress for another basket of chips and instead of getting them for us. She delegated it to the chips and salsa lady. Which unfortunately we didn't get for another 10 mins and the same time our food had come out. Had 1 house margarita. Asked for no salt and got salt after stating 3 x NO SALT please. It was good,a bit too sweet and didn't seem to have much alcohol in it. Ice water tasted very funky. Even after I put lemon and sweetener in it.
Over all it was a decent experience and will prob try again...
Read moreWe arrived and no other guests were seated at about 7:30 pm on a Monday evening. We had a guacamole salad, a pick two enchilada dinner with a cheese and chicken with sour cream sauce on both ($1 more than the Window ad said), and a dinner combo number five. All were adequate, but nothing to write home about. We were not offered extra chips or salsa. I did not receive a credit card receipt, but only the detailed receipt. I was only offered the one that I signed for the restaurant. Ice tea is $3.29 a glass which is pretty much the going rate at most restaurants nowadays. Even still, that is expensive for a glass of tea with two refills IMHO. Chips were a tad thick for my taste. The refried beans were somewhat thicker than I am used to. The rice was moist and flavorful but again not what am used to. Delivery of plates was average time-wise. Will not return because there are other choices. I hope that I don’t get a response on this review as the other responses I read have been somewhat rude, especially...
