chicken strips were very good. I like the bar pretty well. always some interesting characters. 8/6/23: The Tea is really fresh here, they use homegrown authentic Tea leaves like Crackle and oink/Sugar Bear Barbeque! 9/9/23 once again, a pretty decent place, cold beer and nice attitude. The chef made a blue shrimp set of tacos for me that had hollandaise sauce with piorge lime base, it has supposed me how good their food is. I got a tattoo at Travis street and stopped for a taco after at Los Mariachis....then stopped by rendezvous. I’m always impressed with this bar and its owner. The food consistently exceeds my expectations and I have personally seen the owner go out of his way to accommodate people with dietary restrictions during a time where they are running a limited menu. He (the owner) wasn’t asked for an option, however he over heard the need and, after finding a solution, presented a plate that was ordered and reordered in the same sitting. As someone who has put many years into various parts of the hospitality industry, I can say that the attention to customer needs far exceeds what you would find in most scenarios in these parts. Awesome bartenders and a relaxed environment. Tuesday is the day to go. After six PM they whip up some pretty mean street tacos which pairs nicely with a Jack and coke and a cheap domestic. All in all I can relax and watch whatever is playing on the screens for under a twenty spot. By the way I have no problem with the TV volume being down because whoever ran the PA actually has taste in music but slap on those closed captions so I can really crank up the hedonism.
