Once again Joey's delivers a resounding...meh.
We were not super hungry and came in early on Sat eve. Our server Claire was nice but less than interested or thrilled that we decided to split a half-pound burger. Ordered it medium with onion ring upgrade.
No one ever returned to ask if our dried out well done burger with dried out rock hard bacon was medium and delicious as we had ordered, never asked if we wanted another beer or more water. We didn't have the energy to track her down and start over. Once she saw the card out she ran our tab and we were out. I over tipped anyway.
There are so few options in this area and we wish Joey's was a good choice but the effort just isn't there.
Meh.
Update...we go back for more meh. So we ordered pizzas and apps to go on Sunday since the new pizza place on the corner is not yet open. Went early to pick them up a grab a beer, at the bar, place was almost empty.
Pizzas come out, one is completely wrong and no calimari app. After telling me they would remake the wrong pie they found the calimari and brought it out. 15 min later they bring the new pie which is hot and pie that was correct which is now cooled off. The calimari is cold by now, we open it up and it has all slid to one side in the dipping sauce. We got our food and left.
Extra Meh...Not one of the three employees involved (including a blonde manager) bothered to say sorrry let alone remake hot calimari of buy us a second beer at the bar as we waited for $56 worth of cold food. No one there seems to...
Read moreFirst impressions not so great. We spent around $65 on our order which included the following, 1 large pizza with peppers, onions and olives, 10 hot wings, JoJo bread and an order of what was supposed to be beef nachos. This was a Togo order which was picked up exactly when we were told it was ready for pickup.
The pizza was soft and doughy with the toppings not very well distributed and did not have that right out of the oven taste. The wings that were ordered crispy were not. The wings also did not come with a sufficient amount of hot sauce on them. The ranch was lacking flavor and had a strong mayo taste to it and not much else. The JoJo bread was not that bad but seemed like it may have been sitting around for a little bit. If fresh I'm sure it would be very good. The nachos were an absolute nightmare. The beef had zero seasoning and was just piled on the bottom of the Togo box. The cheese, well there were 2 clumps somewhere in the disaster. Probably the worst nachos I've ever ordered.
So to wrap it up, we were disappointed in our first visit to our new local pizza and fine food restaurant. We will try again in the future to see if things will improve with...
Read moreWhere do I begin…. First of all I ordered a pasta dish with shrimp. It had NO shrimp in it. The sauce was flooded with these red pepper things, disgusting. Not only did I leave hungry, but it wasnt worthy of taking home. My son who is 18 can clear a pizza by himself & barely ate half of his pizza. My husband did not like his food either. THEN we never really had one server. Several people seem to just stop by our table to check in on is. Very impersonal, needless to say no tip was given. The Calamari was not served like anywhere Ive ever ordered from. Served so small and saugy. Gross. I dont usually like to complain or even leave things on platforms like this but I must keep going. My bill was $91 plus change for three people who all were not satisfied so I decided to say something at the end of our meal. The waitress got the manager & I told her how unhappy we were & just to let you know the manager did nothing. She did not care & with a rude face said “have a nice day”. I just spent $90 plus dollars- still hungry and I will...
