Literally the worst dining experience I've ever had. This restaurant just lost a loyal customer over an $18 meal. I literally live right around the corner from Frank's, and I've been there multiple times. I usually have a good experience, but that changed tonight. I ordered a meal that ended up having broccoli in it. I HATE broccoli. The description listed 5 other ingredients, but made no mention of broccoli. So after it came, and I realized what was in it I ordered something else. I've worked at multiple restaurants, and if a customer's order came out wrong or they didn't like what they ordered, then their replacement meal was always put in the front of the line so they wouldn't be getting there food after everyone else at there table was done eating. Well I waited another 25 minutes for my food so I got to watch my wife eat then she got to watch me eat. Then when they brought the check they wanted me to pay for a meal I didn't want or eat. I had to have an argument with the manager just to get him to take half of the meal with broccoli in it off the check. I even told the guy I come in there on a regular basis, and he was about to lose a loyal customer over an $18 meal, but that didn't seem to matter to him. His explanation for broccoli not being listed in the ingredients was that Rapini was in the name of the dish. Apparently Rapini is Italian for broccoli. So I guess it was my fault for not speaking Italian. Long story short is the food is pretty good, but they could care less about...
Read more1st and foremost the service was excellent. The hostess arrived to work as we arrived. I don’t even know if she had time to clock in before she seated us. Our waitress wore her mask over her nose(big plus) was efficient and pleasant. The music was a little loud, but it was decent 80’s music. The atmosphere was more like a sports bar. We ordered the onion rings/strings with remoulade sauce which was very good.I can’t say enough about the sauce. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with a Caesar salad. The salad needed a little more dressing and it had the powdered Parmesan on it. I added some of the lemon vinaigrette, and I liked it better. I actually added some onion strings and sauce to my salad as well. As for the pizza, the crust was great. The cheese they used was very fresh and tasted better than most mozzarella cheeses I’ve had on pizza. However, the sauce was extremely salty. The salt completely covered any flavor the sauce may have had. I didn’t care for the way the pepperoni was cut. I like mine thin , flat, and crispy. Frank’s was like julienned carrots. My husband had the Cubano. He eats anything, he was satisfied. Keeping in mind, he didn’t make any of his normal sound effects when he eats something really delicious. I’m a super picky eater so take this with a grain of salt. I came from Atlanta and Savannah where we have incredible restaurants, and I grew up on New York style pizza. Also, the restroom and restaurant was generally...
Read moreThe pizza is great but it is usually pretty crowded. I didn't like the table we were seated at it just felt like we were so close to the other tables around us and the waiters kept having to squeeze past to get through. I get wanting to accommodate a lot of people but not at the expense of comfort. Plus I prefer a booth over a table anyday! We ordered the hummus as an appetizer it was decent if you like spicy hummus which I can't do much spice now w/o a gallbladder 😕 anyway the margherita extra and asked for olive oil instead of red sauce but guess the waiter missed that but it was still really yummy with the sauce. My daughter, who's Birthday we were celebrating ordered the seasonal Autunno è Inverno which has pork shoulder, goat cheese, carmelized onions, butternut squash and a drizzle of honey. It's not something I personally would have ordered but it was pretty good. She recently went to Colorado for a vacay and apparently honey on pizza is a popular thing there. Must be because of all that bomb legal weed lol. The munchies can make the weirdest combinations taste good! So I've heard...😏 anyway I love the pizza but I prefer it to go because I'm just not a fan of the atmosphere, the patio area is nice but there were no tables available when we were there. I will go back for take out for sure though! Oh the focaccia bread is...
