Tike's Treats and Eats — Restaurant in Shreveport

I met the owner yesterday and stopped by today for lunch. I had a fish poboy with the cucumber and tomato salad for lunch and it's one of the best poboys I've ever had - the catfish has the perfect mild muddy flavor and the filets are neither too thick nor too thin. My lunch date had a shrimp poboy and mac and cheese and it was also really good. We both tried very hard to finish both poboys and sides but couldn't do it, so if you leave hungry it's on you. I also picked up an almond cupcake to go for me and red velvet cupcake for my daughter. She ate hers so quickly that I'm not sure she managed to really taste it but she said it's amazing and as red velvet is one of her favorite flavors, I think she knows what she's talking about. The almond cupcake has a good crumb texture and is moist. The icing has that perfect crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. I'd definitely get it again. My lunch date picked up several cookies to take back to his work and I haven't heard how those were yet, but I'd wager they were also good. Everyone was super pleasant and helpful with figuring out what to have for lunch and easily answered our questions. We also saw the owner (Tike) who remembered us and talked to us before our lunch was served. I'd definitely suggest stopping by to try lunch or breakfast or to pick up some treats. I can't comment on the coffee but I have plans to try it...

Located on youree across from Fondrens Classics Cars. We were welcomed in by Mr. Tike(pronounced Teekay) with a smile, our orders were taken and were given a sample of his chai. EXCELLENT! Best chai we’ve ever had. He is his only employee! Be patient but he makes it clear that he will have your food out in a timely manner! We ordered 2 cheese pizzas, a bbq chicken pizza and the cheese sticks. Food was out within 10-15 minutes. The pizza was delicious. Best pizza we’ve had in awhile! Breadsticks were on point with delicious cheese and parmesan dusted all over. After the other customers left he came over and we had a wonderful conversation. We got to know the man behind the restaurant. As we got ready to leave he brought my young daughter a wonderful drink, an orange cream soda that’s served in India in hotels. It was amazing. We also got a brownie, strawberry cookie and a tres leches with a chai to go. The nicest gentleman I’ve ever met. I would go back just to sit, sip chai and visit with him! DON’T LET THIS BUSINESS DIE! You can’t get the service and satisfaction anywhere else that was offered to us today. Coffees, chai, pizza, poboys, and desserts galore. BTW, He has made king cakes for years right here in Shreveport. Fantastic...

I've been here twice since they've opened and loved it both times. They provide an inviting, warm, and cozy atmosphere that just can't be beat. Perfect place to chill, study, and play board games at. Everyone who works there is super chill, nice, and just great to talk to. You can easily tell that they have a passion for what they do.

For drinks, I've had their affogato and dirty chai, both of which were sublime and will definitely be ordering again. Although maybe not immediately because they have so many other wonderful options that I'd love to try. As for food, I ordered their roast beef po'boy and words cannot properly describe just how great it was. The texture, the meat, the spices, the...well, everything was amazing.
