Stepping in I already had my dander up because this business treats handicapped people like 2nd class citizens by not having an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible path of travel from the parking lot to the interior of the restaurant. If you are in a wheelchair and unassisted by a physically capable adult, you are excluded access to this restaurant. The dining area looked clean, has a kitschy 1960's motif, but is in drastic need of repairs. Our server was a young man who was extremely personable, and throughout our meal her was attentive without being pushy. It was only because of him that we left a 50% tip. Before entering the diner I was prepared to order a nice 1/2# stereotypical diner burger. Sorry, not available here. All they have are 1/4# patties. Yup, the same thin, tasteless, overcooked piece of cardboard served on a bun just like all of those major chain burger stores and gas stations in the area. We almost left, but being super hungry we both ordered the cod dinner which was served with overcooked, tough & dry fish on the same plate as room temperature skinny fries. The cole slaw was quite bland as if it had come out of a month old grocery bag instead of being freshly grated. Our onion rings were huge, but the batter was so thick that instead of being crispy they were too hard to chew and we couldn't eat them. I'm pretty certain that in the future we will just pass on by the Coach Light Restaurant regardless of how...
Read moreIt’s a cute little diner and the price is low but it was SO bad 😭 We were in town waiting to pick up crabs from the Maryland line and stopped here. Huge mistake. The food is so bad. The potatoes and scrapple were 100% cooked yesterday and just put in the microwave. Even my boyfriend who eats everything said the potatoes were the worst he’s ever had. My omelette was small which is fine for the price but it was so watery. I took 2 bites of it and couldn’t eat anymore. Didn’t get silverware till after we got the food and never came back to our table for refills or ask how everything was. Apple juice tasted watered down. Cost $2.99 and no refills. We waited so long for our food and now I’m just going to McDonalds cause I’m still hungry. I hate leaving bad reviews for small mom and pop places but this was truly awful. Top 5 worst experiences of dining...

I stopped in to try their broasted chicken for dinner tonight since I have an upcoming church social to help cater later this month.
Always willing to work with local businesses.
I just tried the "broasted chicken" - ugh, actually perhaps they were just cutting corners tonight (which does not make it better) because the chicken taisted deep fried, skin was extremely hard so I peeled it off, the leg and wing were severely cooked to the point the meat inside was tuff.
I ended up pulling the entire skin off, wiping off the edible pieces of meat off the breast and dowsing the few pieces of meat in BBQ sauce using the roll that came with the meal to help offset the taiste.
Truly would NOT RECOMMEND THE BROASTED (deep fried) CHICKEN!
But would still go back...
