We were VERY disappointed in the treatment we received at the Sioux City, Iowa Chili's. We had a coupon for a free dessert. I showed our server, Kayley, the coupon before we ordered. I asked her if we could use it with the "2 for 20" deal. She said, "of course". My husband asked if there were any happy hour drink specials. Kayley informed that margaritas were on sale for $3.99. My husband and I each ordered one. We then ordered a dessert. When we received the bill it was for $35 and the server told us that she could not take the price of the dessert off because the computer automatically "rolled" our bill into a $35 bundle even though the margaritas we ordered and received were the happy hour "classic" ones and not the "top-shelf" ones listed in the $35 bundle meal deal. I told Kayley that she needed to have her manager make the adjustment since we had been told everything we ordered was OK and our bill should be $27.98 prior to tax. She soon returned and said that her manager would not allow the use of the coupon this time, but we could use it on our next visit. I explained to her that we did not receive the quality advertised in the $35 bundle and we ordered during happy hour. She said, "I know, but there is nothing I can do." How sad that John Mechem, the general manager of the Sioux City Chili's Grill and Bar, allows customers to be treated so poorly! My husband felt sorry for Kayley because her manager sent her to visit with us instead of doing it himself so my husband paid the bill and left her a 20% tip. However, we have decided that although we have frequented this restaurant many times, this will be the last. VERY POOR MANAGEMENT SKILLS AT THIS...
Read moreTo be truthful it was just about as average as you can get really. Food was not great by any means but not bad either I am just on leaning below average based on them putting condiments, mainly mustard, on my sandwich when they are also on the table. Chips and salsa were good however 1/4 to 1/3 of chips were just crumbles and despite that fact were still short on salsa. The service started very below average as host was to busy talking instead of watching her station during what should have been the start of lunch rush so we stood there for 10 minutes or so just to be noticed and immediately was sat down. Waitress was also slightly on the below average side: - I felt rushed to order - she didn't have a recommendation - felt knowledge of menu was lacking or she just wasn't willing to help us - failed to ask us if we wanted more salsa - failed to ask about food after first few bites - didn't even bring the bill and instead was told by another waitress we could pay via table top tablet with card. This was fine but I never received a paper copy of that receipt which worries me not to mention the fact it took 10 minutes to get to go boxes. I thought atmosphere was just fine and as expected for a 🌶️ 's. Appearance and cleanliness were good along with ok music.
Wife and I just weren't impressed especially since it was a lunch date for our 19th anniversary!
One last note, parking lot entrance is easily missed and like most selfish people they have full curb around their lot making entrance a pain. These businesses need to learn that keeping the neighbors out they are also keeping...
Read moreIf you like dirty plates, cups, and silverware, this is the place to be. Talk about a waste of time and money went to sit down thinking this is like a regular restaurant noticed a dirty cup was handed to me with a smile then a dirty plate came out with a totally different order than what i asked for speaking slowly so there was no confusion with taking my order down, last straw was me getting ready to eat with silverware and then finding out what was laid down in front of me looked like they cleaned a garden with the foek and knife and wiped a few toilets with it when i tell you my silverware was not silver at all but actually brown and gritty as the bottom of the sea i cant lie totally disgusting but heres the kicker i asked for replacement silverware the girl literally picks up the sand paper looking silverware a walkes 5 steps turns around dunks it in the water behind the bar and wipes it off with a paper towel saying were out of silverware like really this is a whole restaurant its literally someones job to wash dishes or at least put them in a washing machine to do the job id figure needless to say my hot food was now finger food i felt disrespected and unappreciated as a paying customer, I'd rather go to Applebee's hell and they put damn chips queso on thier broccoli. If i could give no stars, it would be done. This is the place to come eat to feel less than im never eating here again,...
