Feedback on My Recent Experience at Starbucks – Smithfield, NC
Dear Starbucks Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share my recent experience at your Smithfield, NC location during what was supposed to be a quick meeting with a business partner.
Unfortunately, I encountered an unprofessional situation when a staff member interrupted us and loudly stated that we could not be there unless we purchased something. This was done in a manner that felt rude and disruptive to our meeting, rather than approaching us kindly to discuss the store’s policies.
As a loyal Starbucks customer who enjoys the atmosphere and regularly supports various locations, I felt discriminated against and embarrassed. I explained to the employee that I am a bariatric patient and need to space out my meals, which is why I planned to place my order after our meeting. However, despite my explanation, I was still met with an unhelpful attitude.
I asked for clarification on the policy regarding seating and was unable to find any visible signage supporting her claims. This has left me feeling undervalued as a customer, especially since I noticed other customers were not subjected to the same interruption.
I am disappointed by this experience and would appreciate your attention to this matter. It’s disheartening to feel treated this way, and I hope to see steps taken to ensure all customers are treated with respect in the future. I will seek legal counsel in regard to this, felt very discriminated against.

Read moreon several different occasions, I have tried to order a skinny vanilla latte on the app but it states “no vanilla syrup at Smithfield location”. I have called the store and was told they turned it off on the app because they were busy. I tried ordering on the app this morning and had the same issue. I called the store and spoke with a guy and was told the app did not show they were out of vanilla syrup on “their end” and that I need to close my app and try again. after doing that numerous times, it continued to say out of vanilla syrup. I called back and spoke with a lady. she pulled her app up and I heard her mumble in the back ground that it stated it on her app but when she got back on the phone, she said that it didn’t show they were out. she gave the phone back to the guy I spoke to previously and I told him this is unacceptable that this happens all the time. he again stated that it did not show it on their end. I will attach photos of it showing out of vanilla syrup then when I hung up with him, about 3-4 minutes later, the app showed that they had vanilla syrup. this is NOT OKAY that because they are “busy” they can control the app stating they are out of ingredients because they are trying to control how busy they get. they will not get another penny from me!...
