Updated review as of 8/25 ā I hadnāt been back to this theatre in at least a year. Last time I was there they were doing some light construction. Itās all paid off! The entire experience was so much better. The concessions are much more streamlined. After a couple poor experiences and avoiding this place for the better part of a year ā itās my new go-to. I hate to give bad reviews and Iām happy to report that this AMC is now great.
OLD REVIEW: I don't enjoy leaving these types of reviews. After spending $100+ to go to a movie theatre and then waiting almost an hour and half to get one large popcorn, and 3 drinks -- I can't not say something. The theatre as a whole is nice-ish. It's newer, and the seats/screens are nice -- at the very least.
The concessions on the other hand are a joke. There's usually only one person by one of the two concession areas. There is nothing self serve (not even drinks) and you have to order most of the concessions to your seat. This in theory seems like a good idea/convenient until it takes 30 minutes to an hour to get what you ordered.
The most recent time we went, I was with my two sons. Middle of the day, on a Thursday. They had more folks working, and both concessions areas open. After 45 mins into the movie, we still hadn't received our 1 large popcorn and 3 drinks. I left the movie to find someone to see what the issue was. They seemed confused and said they would check on it. Another 30 minutes go by, still no drinks or popcorn. I had to walk back out of the movie, and leave my sons to track down our order. The guy just shrugged and said "I had someone on it but they admitted they got distracted." At this point I've missed at least 20 minutes of the movie. We ended up getting our popcorn and drinks while I was standing there.
Look, I feel bad for complaining but after an experience like this, we definitely will choose a different AMC theatre in the future. It also makes me wonder if it's even worth spending this kind of money to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not sure what happened to my original review so Iām reposting this happened back in October I purchased food. We probably have 15 minutes before you know they stop Selling food they tell me itāll be delivered to my seat about 45 minutes. Go by no food is delivered in the movie almost over so I go inquire about it. They tell me oh we forgot in the kitchen is closed. Iām sorry Iām like OK can I get a refund? Oh, since you paid with Apple Pay we canāt give you a refund but hereās a gift card. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager comes out this big sloppy looking guy he has no sympathy, no empathy, trash customer service why are you even the manager so Iām expressing that Iām upset how I feel and how this is an inconvenience because you tell me I canāt get my money back how Iām supposed to eat tonight he donāt got time to hear none of that. He call security Security comes explained what happened But at this point, I see nobody really gives af some like you know what whatever give me the gift card Iām going back to my movie. The security guard goes. Nope you gotta leave the theater. Leave the theater for what I say. Iām returning to my seat to finish the movie that I paid for since I couldnāt even get the food that I paid for he caused the police on me. He stop the whole movie cut the lights Iām coming in flashing lights Saying yeah, get out of my theater you gotta get out right now just being really rude very rude when Iām just sitting down trying to watch the movie that I paid for after not getting the food that I paid for. Below I attached photos of the aggressor who was also on a power trip. Even after I leave the building and Iām outside talking to the police he comes outside still being an aggressor. Recording me for exactly what reason very unprofessional. If I could leave zero...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place continues to go downhill. Itās almost comical how bad it is becomingā¦in a twisted way. It wasnāt all that great before the pandemic, and now itās really sad. There was literally a line to get refunds for food not delivered this evening. One guy was in line to get a refund for a bottle of water. Thatās itā¦all he wanted was WATER. And this isnāt the first time we had our food not show up and/or show up cold/melted (brownie sundae). I went to the kitchen two times during our movie to ask why my food was never delivered, only to be told it was. Um, to who? And then they bring me only half of my order, which is completely cold. š¤¦š»āāļø
Do yourself a favor and bring a big purse or bag and bring your own food and snacks. Can they really say anything? Theyāre having to issue refunds to a lot of folks anyway, so might as well keep things simple and let them bring their own food, which is certainly better than the cold mushy stuff theyāre attempting to serve anyway (when you actually get your order):
AMC Theatres you need to hire grown, responsible adults and do better with your training. Hire managers who know how to manage and train staff. Weāve been A-List members for years and now Iām reconsidering our patronage. š Since COVID they no longer allow you to order your food at your seat AND they charge you a $2.00 delivery fee on food orders, like itās Uber Eats. Come onā¦.
The theaters and bathrooms are always a sticky mess and they canāt figure out how to deliver food orders when theyāre literally a dine-in theater. The only person who seems to know whatās up is the guy working at the bar who has been there awhile. Unfortunately I donāt know his name. But heās always friendly, makes good drinks, and knows my usual drink order. I really need to go learn his name and thank him for his...
