I was looking for some plastic safety eyes for a stuffed animal project and couldn't find them at any other store. They had them at this location so that's good but, it took forever for me to find them in the store. There was only one person in the floor for help that I saw and they were running all over the place so I couldn't get them to help me find them. I almost gave up on finding them myself after about 1.5 hours of looking but they wound up being on the doll house making section which, I can only sort of see the connection with the two hobbies. They don't have a wide variety of the eyes like I was hoping just the small plastic eyes with round pupils which is fine but I'm making a fox and they have slitted pupils. I really wish they had those types too and maybe some larger eyes and glass eyes. I don't know why that's so impossible to find in the hobby stores. After finding them I went to the fabric section and there was another customer there waiting to get some fabric cut and was ringing the bell for service for a long time with no luck in getting help from an associate. I know it's the slow season but, this location needs more people on the floor to help customers find things and get what they need. There really needs to be someone in each department that knows about the hobbies in their department that can help us figure out problems were having with their projects or help come up with new ideas for the hobby they are interested in. Think about it, if a customer is really into crochet and an associate suggests an idea to them that they've never tried or thought of before, it would make the customer feel inspired to try the new ideas and likely require a few new things to buy to do the new idea boosting sales. That customer might have only came in for 1 skein of yellow yarn but with wind up needing more supplies to work on the new ideas the associate suggested to them. Get some help on the floor please. It's bad enough that I feel guilty for giving you my business and ashamed that anyone else will see that I shop at your stores from this review. Suggesting that anyone else shop here is out of the question too. Not because you don't keep the store properly staffed but, because you don't allow your insurance to cover birth control for your employees. I don't know where these rich big business owners get the idea that they need to infuse their own personal ideas and beliefs about things into the company policies. The consumers and employees don't need to know about that and certainly don't need to feel guilty and ashamed for shopping or working at your stores. I don't shop at your stores because we're like minded, I shop there because I love the products I can buy there. Gay people are people and they have hobbies just like anyone else and are therefore a consumer but you've decided that you need to make them feel like they shouldn't shop at your stores which might be why you can't afford to have anyone working on the floor to cut fabric or help find anything. Also placing all your locations in predominately suburban, white areas, makes you a pain to go to for supplies and means that someone like me that lives in an urban area, really far away from any of your locations, shop on Amazon instead. Amazon will close your doors eventually if you don't get your head out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughters and I are typically frequent shoppers at this location until an incident they took place on 08/19.
Upon checking out I saw that there was no wait at an associateās lane (Pam, a Caucasian associate). She made a becking motion with her hand so I proceeded to go to her lane.
Once arriving to her lane with only 2 items, she proceeded to say oh Iām unable to check you out at the moment, as I just called another customer over. The other customer was 3 lanes over and on her phone. The customer hasnāt even made it to the register yet.
I said ā I beg your pardonā because I wanted to be clear that I understand that she was telling me that she wouldnāt be checking us out because she had already told another Caucasian customer that she would check her out. Which I found to be very rude and unprofessional considering she had no wait at her line and the customer hadnāt made it over there yet.
Pam refused to check us out. It took the customer to come over to say that she didnāt mind us going in front of her since we only had 2 items and that we made it to the register first.
I looked for a front end manager to report this to but didnāt see one. Never have I ever been so insulted. I will never return to this location.
Upper management should really have a long discussion with Pam and her prejudice ways. Iāll be taking my services to Loganville or another store
Her actions were beyond rude and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was by far the worse experience I have ever had at hobby lobby. Becky a store associate decided she wanted to be racist. Story time, There were three lines open a fourth one opened and I sent my daughter to get in the line before people rushed the line. When I came to meet my daughter a Caucasian lady behind my daughter said im in line and I said im with her and proceeded to stand beside her. So Becky yes thats her real name on her badge decides to make fake rules to accomadte the Caucasian lady. Saying everyone needs to be in one line and they pull from that line which would place the Caucasian woman in front of us. Everyone looked crazy and started looking around in disbelief because there are literally different lines for every cash register. Needless to say she was ignored but she wanted to get loud with the woman in front of us because we all were saying no not happening. I am a frequent shopper of hobby lobby and I have never experienced anything so disrespectful. They need to fire her before there is a lawsuit because she was really trying to take advantage of her position to accommodate someone who was behind all of us the whole time. I will no longer shop at this hobby lobby if this is how customers...
