Seller beware lazy workers
My first experience was not the greatest on a Thursday evening. I had took in gently worn juicy couture girl outfits brand new shoes and baby items. I figured I would give it a try they had me fill out a paper and was told to stop by the following day to learn of the price for my items. I did take pics of my items to guarantee everything was acounted for when I returned. As most viewers stated it was pointless to resell items for that you can barely purchase something with. So the young ladies that were in on Friday checked through the stuff and items were not adding up right. The immediately offered to recheck and price the items again. This worked out great as the girls on Thursday rushed through the items and didnt do there job properly. I received about $45 which was okay. Other items I decided to keep and giveaway as it made no sense to sell for such a low price.
2nd visit Yesterday(Thursday again not planned) went in with my sons clothes size 10/12 14/16. All brand name jeans levis, gap, polo over 6 brand new items tags attached etc. They said it will take about 15 min to go through the items. I said okay I will be looking around in the meantime. Get ready for checkout and they mentioned they prefer the clothes in bins instead of bags and that they be folded. 1 the items were neatly folded in the bag and 2 I'm not going to purchase a bin to just drop of clothes to sell....needless to say they had selected about 6 items and offered a low amount. I was curious to see what was selected and what was wrong with the other items. She said they had wear to them. I said really that is interesting. Then she said clothes had an slight smell that they couldn't continue to look through the items. Mind you the clothes were washed prior to me bringing them in. As the girls who had helped me(prior) the second time on Friday let me know what was acceptable etc. I wouldnt sell anything I personally wouldn't purchase so I politely said thank you so much for letting me know. I asked for all my items back.
Moral of this long post is that these young girls didnt want to do there jobs. I observed them taking customer calls over the phone about potentially selling items. Informing them they stop taking items at 7pm which seems to be accurate. Then hanging up to say I hope they dont make it its 6:45pm. I believe one of the girls could be the owner or the mgr of the store. Understand they are young but it may be the same girls from my first visit that rushed through my items. I take my items out to the car and realize everything is still folded the same way i placed in the bag. They took the top pieces and that was it.
I will not support a bussiness that does not provide it customers 100% due to laziness. There are other companies that I can sell my items to or sell myself. Or avoid the Thursday crew two girls. If I was a secret shopper this store is clean decent selection of items. Customer service seems to...
Read moreI had a similar experience as another reviewer with them giving back more than half of my items. I was a first time seller to this store and a last time one too. I brought in an average size bin from dollar tree with about 50 infant clothing pieces and 5 pair of shoes. In less than 20 mins after her telling me it was sellers in front of me I had already received a text saying my items were ready. Of course, they accept all my shoes. Which I pre cleaned before had and there were no scuff or signs of wear. I was only quoted a few CENTS, not even a dollar for each shoe. Definitely way less than 70% of their retail price, which I’m confused on how they even verified in the time my items were checked. Yet they are selling shoes with stains, scuffs, and completely worn out for $20 plus. Anyway, they gave 1/2 the clothes back and she stated it was because of wear and stains, so I opened the bin and asked her to show me an example of what was unacceptable. She wasn’t able to point anything out (which I figured because thoroughly checked every piece of clothing). She then took out 4 more onesies and said she could add these to their keep pile. Instead of giving a generic or DEFAULT (basically a lie) response on why my items weren’t accepted, I would have preferred her to just say they were limited on store space or only accept a certain quantity per seller a day. I was literally only quoted no more than 25¢ max per item (including Shoes), based I the amount I was given. Honestly I feel cheated and almost like an insult to my intelligence based on the interaction there. Very disappointing experience. The images below are a FEW items she gave back...

I’ve been selling my kids clothing and shoes to consignment shops for years and I use to bring items and shop here all the time, but lately I just haven’t been having good experiences. The customer service skills are lacking for one thing. They aren’t very professional. The store is so crammed and the items offered are not usually in great shape. The past 3 times I’ve brought items that were gently used (I’m talking hardly worn) or even brand new the $ they offer you back is so low. Usually what happens is they tell you it’ll take 30-45mins to look through the items because they’re suppose to go through them and then look up the items online for current value. However, it’s been like a 10-15min wait for a lot of items to look through which during my most recent experience I am not sure they even looked up the items value. Also, the stuff they refused was in way better shape than some of the items I looked at. I’ve had better luck at the Kid to Kid down the street or the Once Upon A Child in Buford.
Edit: Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to line up as it was this morning that I was in, not yesterday. I did bring some jeans, but it was mostly a bunch of shoes. All of the items I brought in were unstained and we don’t own any animals so it would be very unlikely that there would be animal hair any...
