Just got back home from visiting family in Sonoma. My brother-in-law recommended Homegrown Bagels, so I gave it a go. First trip was to get a breakfast sandwich. WOW! I loved the amount of egg and meat that I got, plus the addition of avocado is always good. Toasted for that great, crunchy exterior, and the familiar chew of a good NY-style bagel (although I'm not as picky as NY'ers) was a great combo. The next day was a baker's dozen and everyone loved the variety. I think the only complaint anyone had was the veggie cream cheese spread was pretty runny compared to the others. We all assumed it was due to the water content of the veggies. The flavor was good, but the consistency was odd. But that's a minor complaint when everything else was fantastic. Our third trip there was for a bagel dog that my son requested. Great amount of food, and the toppings, while messy, were exactly what we wanted and he loved it. Great job, and continued success! We will absolutely stop by the next time we...

I came here in high hopes of new York style bagels, per a few other reviews. As I'm a NY'er with a carb fetish.

I think they are in the style of NY bagels for sure (not Noah's or Einstein thank goodness). But my sesame bagel was much more crunchy and baked on the outside than I like, so not as chewy, dense and satisfying as H&H or Essa in NY. So not exactly what I was hoping for but better than most bagels I've had in California.

I also would have liked more cream cheese on the lox special. Usually I take a ton of cc OFF my cc bagels at other places cuz there is too much, but here, I wanted a bunch more that wasn't there. It seemed like whipped cream cheese instead of brick cc so it sort of dissolves into nothing.

All in all, good NY style bagels but a little dry and crunchy than I like.

I almost forgot to mention! The coffee was quite good. I drink my coffee black and it was nutty and full flavored, not too acidic/fruity. A good...

Starting to realize that maybe I am an exception. $9.50 for a small egg and cream cheese bagel? Seems steep to me? Attached is a pic of half the bagel. You be the judge. It was good but not any better then I can make at home. Best bagels in Sonoma? Well, not a lot of choices. At any rate, service was good and again it was good. I have only been here a handful of times and usually before 10 am and they have always been sold out of specific types of bagels. Seems like they could figure this out and up the supply. I used the order ahead app and waited for it to say order ready but it never did. I finally walked up and it was ready but who knows for how long. We got the poppy seed bagel and it was a little dry. Seemed like a day old? Not sure. At any rate there is always a line so clearly I am the one that...

At Homegrown Bagels in Sonoma, they're not just baking bagels—they're crafting carb masterpieces! Imagine a bagel so perfect, it could make a New Yorker weep with joy. Whether it's the classic lox smothered in cream cheese and capers or a wild pastrami dream piled high on a rye bagel, this place has a bagel combo for every palate. It’s like they kidnapped all the best flavors and held them hostage inside a doughy circle of happiness. And let’s talk about their sandwich game—it’s so strong, you’ll need a napkin just to handle the juicy awesomeness. Located snugly in the Sonoma Marketplace, Homegrown Bagels is your go-to spot for a breakfast that’s worth getting out of bed for. Swing by, grab a bite, and let your taste buds go nuts in the best possible way.
