Stopped here on our winery tour. It was recommended by our tour guide and was known for quick service. We were seated quickly - they have more seating in a back area - quite warm (they had the ceiling fans on low) - it didn’t help that it was one of the hotter days for October 🥵 our server was quick to get our order in. We ordered the small charcuterie board for appetizer and then the salmon sandwich and special halibut fish & chips. Our entrees came out before our appetizer which we weren’t thrilled about but we were hungry. The food was good but the salmon was pretty thin, the board was small and simple (5-6 pieces of sausage, 3 chunks of cheese, two pieces of bread) and the portion of fish & chips compared to the price seemed outrageous ($28 for two small pieces of fish). The servers work fast but I think that can cause forgetfulness - had to search around for malt vinegar and to find our server to get us our bill. The food was good but if we were to return, I would go with the burger or something simple to make the price worth it.

If you have the opportunity, do yourself a favor and make sure to visit this amazing establishment! My husband and I were visiting Sonoma from Maryland for vacation and we just happened to wander in this restaurant late one evening to grab a drink and some light fare at the bar. The owner, Martin, was phenomenal! He immediately made us feel at home, made the best lemon drops, and the charcuterie board was delicious. We were so impressed that we ended up going back 3 more times for dinner during the rest of our stay! Every single time the food was spectacular and the owner and waitstaff were all so friendly and attentive! When we make it back to Sonoma (hopefully soon) this will be our first stop! So do yourself a favor and if you haven’t visited this marvelous place, make it a priority!!! Thanks so much Martin and staff!!!

We had a one night stop over in Sonoma! We decided on a quick glass of wine and small snack and wandered into the Plaza Bistro. The owner Martin was serving at the bar. He gave us an awesome suggestion of where to stay and other local places to visit. He invited us back for a special he was offering of prime rib later that day. We visited other areas in town and went back later that evening. We were served up a delicious prime rib and more importantly, a very fun evening. We met some local folks and had a night of fun and laughter. If you are looking for a fun place with a local feel, good food, and a beautiful atmosphere you must visit the Plaza Bistro. Martin, Robin and Steve you all are awesome! You made our evening one to remember!

Nestled in the heart of Sonoma, The Plaza Bistro is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we stepped inside, Raziel and Hector ensured our visit was nothing short of exceptional.

First Course: Fruit and Cheese Plate The fruit and cheese plate was a symphony of flavors. Fresh, juicy berries paired harmoniously with artisanal cheeses--each bite a celebration of Sonoma's bounty. The creamy Brie, tangy goat cheese, and aged cheddar danced on our taste buds. Accompanied by a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, it set the tone for what was to come.

Second Course: Classic Caesar Salad The Caesar salad was a timeless favorite, executed flawlessly. Crisp romaine lettuce, tossed in a zesty dressing, was crowned with house-made croutons and shaved Parmesan. The anchovy essence was subtle yet present, elevating the dish. Paired with a Chardonnay, it refreshed our palates for the main course.

Third Course: Chicken Piccata The chicken piccata stole the show. Tender chicken cutlets, lightly breaded and sautéed, were bathed in a luscious lemon-caper sauce. The capers popped with briny intensity, while the buttery mashed potatoes provided comfort. A glass of Pinot Noir complemented the dish beautifully, enhancing the savory notes.

Impeccable Service and Ambiance Raziel and Hector anticipated our needs with grace. Their knowledge of wine pairings and genuine enthusiasm made us feel like honored guests. The cozy, candlelit ambiance added to the allure, making our lunch truly memorable.

A Toast to The Plaza Bistro As we savored our dessert--a velvety chocolate mousse--the thoughtfulness behind each course became evident. The Plaza Bistro is more than a restaurant; it's an ode to culinary artistry and...

When a middle-aged woman asks to use the bathroom, the answer is always yes. For what ever emergency situation she has, she has selected you as a refuge. Lead her to the restroom and she will forever be grateful, and tell people about the emergency and how you helped her.

If you tell her no, and that the bathroom is for "paying guests only", when clearly you are not busy, and you send her off to find a public restroom in the park in the dark, you will get a review like this. Sending her away causes humiliation, and desperation, and a possible accident in a public place. Your host did that to me. I tried to find the bathroom in the park but could not. In desperation I came back and just pushed right past him to the bathroom and nearly didn't make it.

I had just spent a wonderful afternoon visiting many of the shops in town. I had dinner at one of the restaurants. On my way back to my car, I suddenly had an emergency.

Hospitality means thinking forward...to the future of what helping me at that moment would bring to the good will that you would have with me. Instead, you get this note. You will notice that I do not write negative reviews, so it is meaningful that I am writing this. I hope that this note will cause you to change your policy, and that it will help some other woman in the future avoid a similar desperate situation that your hosts have been...

Not a great experience. We came in just before the lunch rush, got our order taken and then waited 50+ mins for food. The annoying thing was that at least a half dozen tables that arrived well after us were served 10-20 min’s before us, so the service was bad and they likely lost our order. When the food finally came we asked for our check and the waitress never took our payment so we could leave, which we had a reservation for a wine tasting that we were late for and had to eat what we could. No one apologized, everyone was whispering and looking at our table like we did something wrong- a really terrible feeling and let me also say, we did not complain or ask for anything (lesson learned maybe). The waitress passed our table 3 times so I had to take my check to the owner/manger and asked to be cashed out so we could leave. He was completely uninterested in our experience or why I had to leave the table just to pay the bill. Again, we did not complain, the food was (hard to tell because we had to eat quickly) but I would not recommend this eatery. Plenty of other places to eat there that wouldn’t treat you like this and finish this poorly. When you think of bad service that just keeps getting worse , think of this place and...
