Nestled in the heart of Sonoma, The Plaza Bistro is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we stepped inside, Raziel and Hector ensured our visit was nothing short of exceptional.
First Course: Fruit and Cheese Plate The fruit and cheese plate was a symphony of flavors. Fresh, juicy berries paired harmoniously with artisanal cheeses--each bite a celebration of Sonoma's bounty. The creamy Brie, tangy goat cheese, and aged cheddar danced on our taste buds. Accompanied by a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, it set the tone for what was to come.
Second Course: Classic Caesar Salad The Caesar salad was a timeless favorite, executed flawlessly. Crisp romaine lettuce, tossed in a zesty dressing, was crowned with house-made croutons and shaved Parmesan. The anchovy essence was subtle yet present, elevating the dish. Paired with a Chardonnay, it refreshed our palates for the main course.
Third Course: Chicken Piccata The chicken piccata stole the show. Tender chicken cutlets, lightly breaded and sautéed, were bathed in a luscious lemon-caper sauce. The capers popped with briny intensity, while the buttery mashed potatoes provided comfort. A glass of Pinot Noir complemented the dish beautifully, enhancing the savory notes.
Impeccable Service and Ambiance Raziel and Hector anticipated our needs with grace. Their knowledge of wine pairings and genuine enthusiasm made us feel like honored guests. The cozy, candlelit ambiance added to the allure, making our lunch truly memorable.
A Toast to The Plaza Bistro As we savored our dessert--a velvety chocolate mousse--the thoughtfulness behind each course became evident. The Plaza Bistro is more than a restaurant; it's an ode to culinary artistry and...
Read moreWhen a middle-aged woman asks to use the bathroom, the answer is always yes. For what ever emergency situation she has, she has selected you as a refuge. Lead her to the restroom and she will forever be grateful, and tell people about the emergency and how you helped her.
If you tell her no, and that the bathroom is for "paying guests only", when clearly you are not busy, and you send her off to find a public restroom in the park in the dark, you will get a review like this. Sending her away causes humiliation, and desperation, and a possible accident in a public place. Your host did that to me. I tried to find the bathroom in the park but could not. In desperation I came back and just pushed right past him to the bathroom and nearly didn't make it.
I had just spent a wonderful afternoon visiting many of the shops in town. I had dinner at one of the restaurants. On my way back to my car, I suddenly had an emergency.
Hospitality means thinking forward...to the future of what helping me at that moment would bring to the good will that you would have with me. Instead, you get this note. You will notice that I do not write negative reviews, so it is meaningful that I am writing this. I hope that this note will cause you to change your policy, and that it will help some other woman in the future avoid a similar desperate situation that your hosts have been...

The annoying thing was that at least a half dozen tables that arrived well after us were served 10-20 min’s before us, so the service was bad and they likely lost our order. When the food finally came we asked for our check and the waitress never took our payment so we could leave, which we had a reservation for a wine tasting that we were late for and had to eat what we could. No one apologized, everyone was whispering and looking at our table like we did something wrong- a really terrible feeling and let me also say, we did not complain or ask for anything (lesson learned maybe). The waitress passed our table 3 times so I had to take my check to the owner/manger and asked to be cashed out so we could leave. He was completely uninterested in our experience or why I had to leave the table just to pay the bill. Again, we did not complain, the food was (hard to tell because we had to eat quickly) but I would not recommend this eatery. Plenty of other places to eat there that wouldn’t treat you like this and finish this poorly. When you think of bad service that just keeps getting worse , think of this place and...
