Firstly, I am not from this particular area (Anderson, SC) but It was less than hospitable and the food was nothing to rave about or to have us return. We entered the establishment and it was apparent that we came at the end of dinner for many families. The tables, at least 4-5 in our view of site were not cleared so we opt to sit at the bar. The only person behind the bar (grey collar shirt/manager ) was more interested in carrying on a conversation with someone he was familiar with didn’t seem interested in greeting us nor ensuring the area was free from crumbs. I left my company to use the restroom and on returning, he was still waiting to be acknowledged and seated. By this time, a couple of waitresses came into the area and began cleaning tables apologizing that they have been servicing others and trying to get the areas cleaned. We were greeted by a really nice server, Taylor and she was present through our meal.The food was okay and since we had been making errands; we stayed and ate. It’s not the employees that brings up my concern, but the negligence of leadership who showed no interest in customer service or ensuring the restaurant/staff were being priority. I am the one who suggested Chili’s because I enjoy the one from my location. As much as I frequent other various restaurants, I have rarely witnessed such lack of management skills in a time where communication and teamwork are imperative. It was evident that the staff was trying their best to get the restaurant back into a welcoming and servicing environment; while their manager (Luis?) carried on conversation even until we were seated and received our drinks. Read moreI'm not one to leave bad reviews at places considering I used to work as a server at a restaurant but I felt this experience crossed a line. Ordered carry out and arrived at the restaurant ten minutes before our order was supposed to be ready, after sitting in the car for forty minutes my girlfriend went inside to ask what was taking so long, only to find they had put our food in the "not paid" area. My girlfriend ask why it was there and they told her it was because the food had not been paid for. She showed them on the app AND on the receipt placed on the bag of food that it had in fact already been paid for. Despite seeing this, and our car outside matching the description we put in the app, at no point did staff come out to our car during the 40 minutes we sat and waited. While I am aware that had we gone in sooner, we would have received our food sooner, we clearly marked on the app that we were picking up our food from our car so staff had several ways of knowing our food was paid for or at the very least we were under the impression we were to wait outside. When we finally got home with our food, we were missing our queso and because of the long amount of time our food sat out (with no heat lamp or refrigeration at the restaurant, it just sat at room temperature), the food was terrible even after being reheated. In total our order was about 60 dollars, and we spent 9 of those on the queso we never got. And the rest of the food was practically inedible from sitting out so long. No coupon or compensation was offered for the mistake. Terrible...
Read moreI am absolutely disgusted. Although this Chilis has never cooked any of my steaks right the first time, today was a shocker. I ordered a medium rare steak. When it came, I could tell by the touch is was not cooked enough, and when I cut into it, I realized it was seconds away from growing hair and mooing. It was cold to the touch and completely raw inside. My server brought it back to the kitchen. When I later asked to speak to a manager to express that the steak should have never been allowed to leave the kitchen, she told me, “I looked at it myself and it was a beautiful medium rare, with a warm red center”. I told her she did not look at my steak because mine was blue and raw throughout. I also told her that if they had temped the steak, she would have known it was raw!!! I still hadn’t received my steak so the manager went to check on it. She told me they over cooked the steak they had refired for me and so they were doing it over. From the time I sent my steak back to when I finally got another, it was 40 mins. I honestly wished I had taken a picture. Chef Gordon Ramsey would have flipped his lid. I hope that someone higher up from Chilis reads this and corrects the manager because that is how you give people food poisoning.
