I Had made an appointment to get rear speakers installed at this location, even though I don't live in Anderson. Felt like the technicians were good from these reviews... I WAS SO WRONG.. well at least about the guy who serviced my car. Came last week and had one speaker installed because there was already one in my car...Which I wasn't aware of.. I was still charged as if they installed two speakers. He said that they can't charge me for half a speaker. In order to install the front speakers the guy told me that I had to purchase another speaker because the box only came with one speaker. Which wasn't true because the box said two speakers were included. When he said that I should have known something would go wrong. So I thought to myself that's cool because I will be back up this way next week. Plus my appointment was only for a rear and not a front speaker installation. So my appointment was today for my front speakers. It took longer than expected but I figured that just meant they were checking to make sure everything was working properly. Id rather someone take their time versus rush. After awhile he came up to me claiming that the speaker had a defect in it. But the speaker was BRAND NEW. I know some things do have a defect but I believed he accidentally put a hole in the speaker while installing it. So I had to buy another set from bestbuy.. a totally different brand. I wasn't to happy about that but what else could I do? I drove all the way up there so I was stuck. Before I left he told me to check the sound of the speakers they seemed fine then.. But once i got further down the road I realized that my back left speakers were going in and out. My door handle wasn't working and cracked more out of place. I had to re adjust my settings on my speakers because no sound came from the front. I had speakers installed how would someone know to check a door handle? I couldn't unlock my passenger door at all. Then I looked around and realized I had bolts missing from my car. I wouldn't recommend.. I wish the other technician worked on my car, he seemed like he knew more about his job. The technician that worked on my car was asking a lot of questions to the other technician. If you do go here I suggest you stay in the room and make sure they aren't damaging any of your products. It's their word against yours. Pay close attention to your pieces in your car.. Make sure your door handles work properly before you leave. Talked to the manager about it he made it seem like the technician could do no wrong. If this was so why would I be calling you or even writing a review? Been spending my money here for years, I won't anymore. I wish Walmart installed speakers.. If this happened there the manager would have went above and beyond to make sure this was fixed TODAY. I was told I had to wait to find out what could be done. Since when do we put stuff like this on hold? Go at...
Read moreUpdate: Someone from the store did eventually get in touch with me and are making things right by mailing me the cable. The 3rd (!) national customer service rep that I had to speak with, as well as the team member from the actual store were both very courteous and helpful. As a result, I am improving my overall rating of my experience. (As if any one really cares ;-)
I was hesitant to make a big purchase at a Best Buy from the beginning because their online reviews re: customer service and their return process are so putrid. But they did have a great deal on an "open box" 55" Samsung UHD 4k television. The "open box" sticker promised it was just that - just an open box, television in "Excellent Certified" condition with zero damage and ZERO missing accessories. I made the purchase, but should have opened the box while in the store. I get home (45 minutes away) start to set up the TV, and guess what....No power cord and no manual! A television without a power cord does not do me much good. So you would think I could call the store, right? WRONG!! Apparently Best Buy stores do not have telephones in them! You can only get through to a national service representative, who obviously can not tell me if they have my power cord at the store or not. The representative claims she can not transfer me to the store and I need to drive back to the store to find out if they have my cord. When I reminded her it was a 45 minute drive for me and that this was THEIR mistake, all she could offer me was the e-mail address of a manager!! Seriously? So, again, I guess Best Buy is an electronics store without any telephones! They want me to drive 45 minutes each way to "find out" if the store still has the power cord to the television they just sold me!!! What a joke! What awful, putrid customer service!! All of those online reviews were correct. Best Buy is, essentially, a national chain WITHOUT customer service! I will be making that return trip after all, to RETURN THIS USELESS TELEVISION. And now I will be out all of this time and gas money. Thanks for...
Read moreManagement is a joke. Ordered a computer that showed was available for pickup within an hour. Called the store and told them I would be by to get it the next day, they said that will be fine. The computer is here. Went the next day to pickup the laptop, surprise, no laptop. Instead of the common courtesy of apologizing and trying to resolve this problem, the manager (think it was zach) just said well it's just a basic laptop. Yea Zach, realized that when I ordered it... but what about the reason it's not here. The manager said, I'll go to the Greenville store and get one and bring it here. It will be ready the following day. No other choice but to leave, which is a 30 minute commute. Fast forward to the next day, I call the store to see if the laptop is there. I was told by the customer service representative, "yes, it's here. Just stop by the desk when you come in and you'll be all set." Drive another 30 minutes to the store, politely told by the cashier the laptop is not there. Called for the manager, so he came over. His name is Harsh Patel. If I thought things couldn't get worse, it was because I hadn't met Harsh Patel yet. He was rude and had the attitude of, "so what, who cares. " He had no idea where the laptop was. Informed now 3 employees standing at the register that Zach said he was picking the item up from Greenville and that when I called, the item was there. After about 5-7 minutes they finally found the laptop. But it only gets better. The laptop was paid for online, all I was suppose to do was walk in and walk out. Nope, they had to refund my money, which I never received a receipt of that transaction. Then they had to sell the item to me again. Stan Klip is the General Store manger of the Anderson location. I intend to reach out to him today. The bad attitudes, false information and lack of customer service is unacceptable. After this purchase, I will pay more to never have to step foot in this...
