UPDATE: I ordered To Go tonight from Red Tomato, because prior to my last experience it truly was one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is always delicious, fresh and authentic so I was a bit dismayed with my last experience regarding the service. Upon entering, having been a regular, the owner’s wife greeted me and was very friendly despite recognizing I had previously left a pretty negative review. I will say my earlier review was not indicative of my many experiences at this restaurant and posted irrationally out of the severe frustration I had with that visit. The owner’s wife confirmed with me I had left the negative review and proceeded to apologize profusely for my experience. She stated they appreciate the feedback as they are always seeking to improve. This was such a refreshing response as many business owners would certainly give the cold shoulder, be ugly, or not truly care what their customers have to say. I love to support locally owned businesses and have always enjoyed the food here (which is why I came back for a to go order!) so I fully appreciate, as a business manager myself, when owners/managers go the extra mile to ensure their valued customers have better experiences. Thank you Sharon for taking the time to speak with me and striving to improve not only my experience, but others! I have missed this place severely after giving it a break for a while. We will definitely be back more regularly because the food is just always so good- and it’s hard to beat homemade. Highly recommend the Spaghetti with meat sauce, Chicken Kabob, Chicken Alfredo & Pizza!
Food is good here, but service leaves so much to be desired. We come here frequently and have decided as of this evening it’s going to be a long while before we come back. I brought my 2 year old son in to eat and our food came out incorrect the first time, so we had to send it back to be corrected. That’s no big deal, but then the waitress also didn’t bring bread that comes with the meal so I asked for it when the incorrect plate arrived. When my correct plate came out, still no bread...so I asked again. Ate about half of my spaghetti and had to flag her down from a nearby table (because she didn’t once check on me after bringing the food a second time around) to ask for the bread a 3rd time. It took an older member on staff to ask her if she had taken my bread to me before she ever actually brought it to the table. When we did finally receive the bread, I went ahead and ordered a Chicken Alfredo to go. I call in orders most of the time and it only ever takes 15-20 minutes for it to be prepared for pick up. FORTY minutes later (with my two year old whining and flopping all over the place) had to stand up and go to the bar to ask another waitress if there was a problem with our order. The waitress I asked was not the one waiting on us because our waitress was taking a phone order, but when I asked this waitress her response was “I don’t know, do you?” asking our waitress who was on the phone. Wouldn’t it make sense for her to go ask the kitchen, not someone actively in a phone conversation? Absolutely clueless. I only waited that long to ask because our waitress came by to tell us “a few minutes” a couple of times while we were waiting, so I thought she was being honest. I don’t know why it took so long, but another few minutes passed and they finally brought out the chicken Alfredo. It will be a long while before I return to this restaurant based on...
Read moreUpdated 2/15/2025 Very good pasta dishes. My wife had the Fettuccine Alfredo and added spinach (good choice), and I had the eggplant parmigiana.
Of course, we shared a bit of each other's fish so we had a little variety. I thought the fettuccine dish was perfectly al dente, but not piping hot. It seemed dried so probably sat and waited for my parm dish. Cream cools quickly, so preparation management, please, kitchen staff. As I said, though, my eggplant parm dish was piping hot, probably kept so under the salamander to melt the cheese. It tasted great, both of them, but the spaghetti was a little overcooked (again, management of time). It was okay, because it came off like a baked spaghetti dish which is a good method as well. I had 3 small discs of eggplant, so it was more a spaghetti dish with an afterthought of eggplant.
Good flavors and we'll come back, if not for the bread on the side - crispy and buttery. Mmm
The waitress was attentive and friendly. Since we were there on our way back home in the afternoon on a Saturday, we beat the crowd.
Older Review We decided to stop here while running errands, and the name made us curious. Also, anything Italian or Greek usually means good food, so we had to try.
My son and his wife both got salad, one antipasto, and one gyro (pronounced yee-ro). My wife got the actual gyro plate, which she couldn't finish, so I got to enjoy it as well. The gyro meat is thick, juicy, and incredibly tasty. The pita was fresh, and the tzatziki sauce rocked. I had the individual, 3-topping lunch pizza, which made me want more. Next time, I might just get two!
Everything was excellent, and we will definitely go back. Oh, the waitress we had was friendly, bubbly, and interacted with us just enough. I wish I remembered her name, but you'll know her when you meet her. She'll brighten your day!
Next time, I'll take...
Read moreI've been here 3 times. First time I got the meatball sub, chips and a soda. Great tasting and good service. Second time I got fettuccine alfredo and a soda. I asked the waitress if I could add broccoli. She asked the kitchen, they said yes. It was delicious. Third time I went here it was Valentine's Day. My husband and I got the owner's wife/girlfriend. She kept asking us if we wanted to order any wine, even after we said no thanks.(we don't drink alcohol). I ordered a soda. Then she brought me the wrong drink. I ordered fettuccine alfredo (with broccoli). My husband ordered a small pizza. She was acting frantic since the minute we came in. I don't understand why since she only had three tables. The restaurant was not busy. Which surprised us since it was Valentine's Day. Then she walked past our table with a plate of fettuccine alfredo and then came back to our table and set it down in front of me. It had no broccoli in it. I asked her about that, and she said it's in there. I replied where, hiding? She walked away from us and went back in the kitchen. I formed through it and saw no broccoli. Then she came half way back to us and hollered "The chef said they're out of broccoli sweetie." I would have ordered something different if I knew beforehand. Then before I could tell her she brought out a calzone for my husband's dinner. Put it down in front of him, and he said "I didn't order this, I ordered a pizza." She brought it back to the kitchen. We decided to just leave very dissapointed. If anyone decides to eat here, please ask for any server rather than her. She obviously...
