I RARELY write reviews but, the health department SHOULD check this place! Yesterday, April 17th I went to the Dunkin Donuts store in Bluffton around 2:15 pm. I ordered 6 French Crullers and two cold brew coffees. The girl who took the order placed the six donuts upside-down in a box and handed it to me. I opened the box in the store and wondered why they were placed upside-down (?) I flipped the donuts over and realized that 5 of them had some kind of black spots on the top, that at first looked like brown sprinkles. I asked the same girl who gave me the box what the black flakes on the donuts were, and she told me that it was “chocolate” from other donuts (?????) I said “ok”, I didn’t want to make a big deal... but when I was about to eat one of the donuts I realized that the black flakes were not chocolate but disgusting chips or scraps from a pan (maybe an old or burned one). I went back to her and I asked for different donuts, she “proudly” told me that all of the French crullers had those black flakes. I asked for Boston cream donuts instead, and she whispered an apology. While I was still in the store, I was surprised to see the girl put those returned donuts back on the shelf for the next customer! Besides the black flakes, she knew that I touched/flipped with my bare hands all of the donuts while they were in the box! It is a shame, and someone should check their kitchen area! The innocent black flakes, that were definitely NOT chocolate, could be dangerous if they came from a burned Teflon pan. The picture was taken after I removed some of the flakes, but still... Oh! And a smile on the employees face wouldn’t...
Read moreSo incredibly disappointed. I have been a loyal customer for over ten years. I get five-10 dozen per week. Every visit is worse than the last. Today is my day off and I wanted glazed and Bavarian donuts for myself and an order of snacking bacon. There was so much grease it got everywhere. It’s all the bed the box of donuts and the seat of my car. It was literally running out of the bag. The donuts taste like they are a week old and have virtually no glaze and no chocolate frosting. Yesterday it was pure chaos in the store. No one knew what they were doing. They sent customers back and forth from one end of the counter to the other over and over again. The staff seemed untrained and overwhelmed. There was no process, no efficiency and no sense of urgency. People cannot wait half an hour on donuts. I feel bad for the delivery drivers trying to pick up orders. They were treated so poorly. Everyone is trying to make a living. Snapping at your customers and disrespecting their time is not the way to build clientele. This location, in Bluffton, has been “hiring” a manager for seven years. I know plenty of qualified individuals who have applied and never been contacted. You would think they would have figured out by now, that you get what you pay for in a manager. Do...
Read more2021 edit. 16 minutes in line in drive thru for them to tell me they have no food. I can't back up cant go forward so I ordered a coffee. 14 minutes later I get to window and they have bagels and donuts. I ask why they told me they have no food. It's because someone inside ordered 40 sandwiches. I asked if I could just buy a bagel in a bag, no I was told I would have to drive around back into the line. Needless to say I won't be coming back.
2020If it wasn't for the male manager this place would fall apart. I use my on the go app to save time. The drive thru never puts my food order in till I get there. I always get to watch them make it. The inside pickup is considerably faster but never get the order right . Today I ordered my usual, 1 large coffee regular with Splenda. I added 2 of their new chipolte bacon wake ups. I still had to wait 5minutes for my coffee, then I get out to the car and have a plain egg wrap with plain bacon. I go back in side they remake, I get on the road again and find correct bacon but no chipolte. Guess who was late today and held up his work crew. Me. If I didn't have 30$ on my card I'd start going back to Mcdonalds for coffee. New England runs on dunks, unfortunately...
