I was quite blown away by the quality of the food and cook (Thank you, Chef Ferrie!) . All the ingredients used were fresh and perfectly seasoned - right in front of our eyes. All 3 families around the grill mentioned they didn't even need to utilize the complimentary sauces. The Japanese Clear Onion Soup was hot and a nice respite from the typical miso soup. We even bought extra to take home - that is how good it was! For the small salad, you get to pick your dressing from their special ginger dressing to Ranch. Both are included in the meal. Some of the folks ordered sushi appetizers (extra $) and really enjoyed them. Enjoyed a Mai Tai that packed a punch and wasn't skimpy on the alcohol - for $8! Dessert is not offered. It was a well oiled machine and we were there for 70 minutes. I can't recommend Chef Ferrie enough! On a side note, I heard the hostess tell a "to-go" patron that her sushi was given to the wrong person, and they had to make another. There isn't much ambiance - no music, bright lights, hard chairs. But you get a show, lot's of great tasting food and you're in and you're out.

I’ve been coming here for ten years with my wife on date nights and have never been disappointed. The staff is very friendly, and Fuji has had the same bartender and sushi chef since we started coming so there is a great continuity and consistency each visit. If we come for sushi my wife loves the Fuji roll and eel nagiri and I’m a huge fan of the Mexican and Mafia rolls. If we come for hibachi, I eat everything that isn’t bolted down because everything that comes off that flat top is excellent. This location is very popular and incredibly busy on weekends so be prepared for a wait time regardless of whether you want the grill or table. Family friendly atmosphere and the chefs put on a show for the kiddos that they’ll enjoy. The only critique I have is that the interior could use some renovating to become a little more modern, but that’s just an aesthetic issue it has absolutely no bearing on the great quality of food.

Very, very nice atmosphere & decor. Clean tables, chairs, cutlery, walls, floors, etc.(Currently highly decorated for Halloween.) This place clearly strives to accommodate "family night" as well as "date night" patrons; and... they actually make it work! Kudos! The sashimi here was above average in quality, served at correct temperature, and an appropriate amount. (A side order of sushi rice is available, upon request.) I would come back.

Let me start by saying the chefs are excellent. This 2 star review is not for the wait staff nor the chefs. This 2 star review is for the hostess/ owner operator. I had a party of 6 + my 5 yr old grandson. He is a picky eater and I brought him a cheese quesadilla from the restraint next door to Fuji. As I'm sitting down I feel someone stroking my back. The hostess tells me she is sorry but no outside food aloud in the restaurant. I asked politely to please allow my grandson to eat his cheese quesadilla and she would not budge. So I had to throw it in the trash. 5 mins after I threw his food away and (wasted $10 from buying the quesadilla) The people at the table beside us pulled out a birthday cake and started singing happy birthday to a member of their party. I looked and saw a cookie cake in a ladies hand when she walked right by the hostess and she sat them at their table. I don't understand how the rule was only applying to me. The bill came and for a party of 6 that had 2 California rolls no alcohol just sweet tea and sprite, my bill was $ 208. 36.... There was a 20% gratuity added to our bill of $34 . I didn't see that till after I had left a $20 cash tip. So all together I ended up leaving a $54 tip . So if you are thinking about eating there bring your pocket book, and make sure you check your bill before you give them your card. I will not be back there. The hostess was rude, and they never mentioned tip being added to bill . Even when I gave the hostess the $20 in cash to give to chef. Honestly, I can go to atami's or hibachi express and get the same...

We come here once almost every two weeks. It’s usually really great food & service. Tonight, we ordered over $200 worth of food including some sushi rolls. As the sushi rolls were handed out, we trusted that we each received what we ordered. My friend took one bite of the sushi roll the server handed her and asked if it was the correct item she ordered. The server was confused and walked away. She came back with the correct sushi roll. (Apparently the other couple in the party across the table ordered that particular sushi roll.) When we went to check out we noticed we were charged for the extra sushi roll we DID NOT ORDER nor did we eat! The manager, Sonja, proceeded to scream at us from the front counter near the front door. To say we were embarrassed was an understatement! She claimed we ate 3/4 of the sushi roll when in reality she took one bite. She said that it was their policy that if we ate the item we had to pay for it. I’m very upset because of the amount of money I spend in here annually. To be treated that way was uncalled for. Especially over $5. Sucks for this restaurant because they just lost a few thousand dollars a year. Typically I would recommend this restaurant but we will NEVER be back! Thanks for the poor service Sonja! Be sure to let Mr. Kai Chen know why his business is falling through the cracks under your...
