Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Anderson

It started poorly from the beginning. My husband asked me if we wanted a tray, I said yes, rather than to have to carry our drinks. I just had not seen them as there were only a couple, pushed way back under the counter. Then the girl serving drinks said "You don't need trays for drinks" I guess she has to go get them when they run out and did not want to do anything other than pour drinks. It was not crowded, there was no line when we walked in, and no one behind us either. The spegetti was dried out, the pinto beans had so much salt, even my salt-a-holic husband thought it was too much. The mac and cheese did not taste good and was not barely warm. My family went and got what is usually their favorite, fish and they did not like it. I received a tiny fatty piece of steak, I took one bite of it and gave up. Out of what I put on my plate, I ended up eating two pieces of orange and a baked potato and a couple crackers. Most of the fruit was not ripe and so was hard. The rest I put on my plate was old and cold or lacked flavor. My daughter ended up picking at meatloaf and mashed potatoes as the fish did not taste good.

Since we were in a hurry to get back on the road, we did not bother to go try anything else. We do not usually do fast food and thought a buffet would allow us a varied menu at a faster speed then being served.

We should have taken the time to eat elsewhere. We ended up having to grabbing something at a QT when we got hungry later anyway.

The one bright side was our waitress. She brought us a refill before we ran out, was friendly and took away the almost full plates of unedible...

This was my first and sadly last time Coming to eat here it was a disappointment especially since I had been excited to try this place for months, the food was very dry and you can tell it had been sitting there for way to long I sat facing the food area just to see what was going on for I’m also someone part of the restaurant business. and I can just tell management let’s there employee do whatever they want I sat there and watch one of the employees be on her phone for a good 20 min this is also the same employees that looked annoyed when I went up and ask for a pice of steak, there was another employee just texting away the cashier came to what seem to be the taco station and stated to the other employees that she was hungry but didn’t want to eat there then looked at the beans and said yea this beans are looking a little questionable, that an employee saying that it just made me question how old this food is the waiter just looked like he didn’t want to be there the lady next to him asked him a question and he annoyingly answer her and keep walking while answering I finally saw what seem to look like the manager come out and everyone started to act like decent employees refilling the stations and cleaning there area she came out and started to try to make the dry food look better something the other employees should...

What can I say, the stars are practically for efficiency of getting my order prepared. I ordered through Uber Eats and it was taking a while, so I called. My order was ready but they didn’t have an item I requested, but Uber was having trouble finding a driver. Fast forward to finally getting a delivery driver and my food is here. I’m very disappointed in the quality of food I received. False advertisement completely. I ordered a Chocolate Cake Slice that looked amazing in the picture an actual slice of cake. I received a Mini German Chocolate Cupcake ( I hate coconut ) was not advertised it would be GC. Then in place of the cheesecake they didn’t have, I received 2 mini carrot cake cupcakes. Also I ordered Sweet Potato Casserole which was pictured with mini toasted marshmallows on each individual bowl. No marshmallows! Everyone knows SPC is supposed to have marshmallows. Oh and let’s not forget about the dozen Chocolate Chip cookies I ordered. Which turned out to be tiny Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin ( flavors my son won’t eat which is the only reason I ordered the cookies).
