Watch out for bait and switch tactics for repairs. Called Samsung for a warranty repair on my Galaxy Fold 3, Samsung issued a repair ticket and instructed me to find my local UbreakIfix. I brought the phone in with my repair ticket number 3 weeks ago and the owner / technician inspected my phone and took photo's so send to Samsung to validate the warranty repair. Was called a few days later confirming my repair would be under warranty and they would need to order parts for my phone as they only had the needed kit for a black Fold, mine was silver. A week ago I was called to confirm the needed parts had arrived and scheduled my repair for a Wednesday, as it would take a couple hours to replace both inside screens. On Wednesday I was unable to bring the phone in for repair due work and called and re-scheduled the repair for Friday morning, no issues etc from UbreakIfix. Dropped the phone off Friday morning at 10AM when the store opened and gave my contact information to call once the repair was done. An hour later I received a phone call from the technician saying my repair was no being "denied" by Samsung. I was told over the phone that Samsung had "that morning" changed the rules for the warranty and my phone would no be denied coverage and repair, even though it was already approved for repair by Samsung and the necessary parts had been ordered 3 weeks prior. If I now wanted the phone fixed it would be almost $600.00 even though Samsung had APPROVED the repair and shipped the parts to the store UNDER WARRANTY. No change in the needed parts, no additional issues found when the work was started. Just now the repair wasn't covered that was approved 3 weeks previous. When pressed on if the repair would have been approved under warranty on Wednesday if the phone had available for repair and the technicians answer was...."well maybe, I guess...." Overall, very unprofessional and poor communication and very suspect that the rules for the warranty repair just happened to change "that morning". EDIT: Store manager called after I left my review and apologized for the miscommunication. Manager told me employee never should have authorized the job and again blamed Samsung for the warranty...
Read moreSent my ipad mini over thinking it needed a new battery dreading it & preparing my self for the worst possible scenario when i get the call that nope that wasn’t the issue. I asked how much for the diagnostic because being a Veteran i know no one works for free in America. No charge I thought I hadn’t heard correctly so when I got to Anderson I asked again to be sure again no charge, that was the wow factor for me because customer service like this is sub par these days where some companies will take advantage of people who don’t know just to make a buck. These will forever be my go too people for all my electronic repairs and they deserve this 5 star rating from me well earned, the respect was genuine. Thanks to the guys & gals that work here I salute you for a job well done. Ps they offered me a insurance package for all my future electronic needs well worth it when you read how much repairs cost with out it, better to have it then get caught needing it later on down the road especially in these days & times. Read moreI brought in my PS5 for work to have the bluetooth chip replaced on the mother board. I'd done enough research/other troubleshooting to feel confident that that was the issue. After plugging my console in to try and replicate my issue to help diagnose, they gave me a call. Ultimately, they told me that because of what they were seeing, there is no guarantee that the chip is the cause of my problem, and the risk/cost of making the issue worse by performing a repair that may not even help was not worth the reward. Despite my initial insistence that they try the repair anyways, they held firm, and I respect that. They provided knowledgeable and technical reasoning for why they were of the opinion they had. They then proceeded to give me a variety of options to pursue along with their personal recommendation.
At the end of it all, they did not charge me a dime for the diagnostic assessment and consultation. If I have future issues I won't hesitate to come here. They've...
